Just listened to Part 5. Woot woot. Bar-ba-sol. What a kick ass song for him to sing and for us to hear live. The band was really rocking it and the audience really seemed to love it.

Light On with colored glowsticks and a singalong.

Two things about the performance of Light On: it looks like Dave’s guitar goes out of tune at one point during the song, and it seems he tunes it *while he is still singing*. Cracked me up that during the sing-along section (too bad we miss Dave’s lower register a capella thing here) it’s all women’s voices, and they get every word and note right. Were there *any* men in the audience?!

What great stuff to wake up to this morning. Thanks for the videos. After listening to all the album songs last night, “Lie” is one of my favorite songs on the album. “Light On” has also become one of my favorite songs, but I do admit I wasn’t a fan at the beginning. But seeing the video and hearing it live, has made me a fan. The audience singing the slowed down part and waving the glow sticks was all kinds of love.

Cook was born to front a band. He’s got an amazing presence on stage. The band is amazing. We are happy (me and my imaginary friends).

I don’t mind posting my mp3 (which I think is better quality) but my college has a very strict file transfer policy. Do you guys know if there is any way to post it without going through a file sharing site?

Just a random observation – all three guitarists of David’s band are right-handed. I think that makes David stand out more (among other things, haha)!!! And it totally works for Barbasol, when David and Neal sort of face each other for the guitar solo part. :)

Oh. Oh. Oh. Thank you all so much for everything here! You guys are just wonderful. And now I’m trying not to CRY at work. This is…I’m speechless I think. I do not remember EVER feeling like this, feeling all this, feeling everything, so much, just listening to someone sing. You know, seeing him on the Idol tour was fan-f-ing-tastic. Seeing and hearing Cook and this band live, singing these songs, playing together…OH *THUD*. Oh shit. There I said it. I’m afraid we will ALL be crying at some point! WHAT IS IT about him? About him and this band? Someone ‘splain to me, puh-leez.

Wow! I think Lie sounds better live than on the record, as I thought was the case with the SNL Declaration. I am also loving live BarBaSol. Fantastic! I am SO envious of those who got to go.

I was at this event and I can’t think of enough positive adjectives to describe what a fantastic show they put on, how much the audience was enjoying it, and what an awesome experience it was for me since this was my first time seeing David live.

I think someone asked if there were any men there – oh yeah, definitely. There was one smack in front of me whose hand holding his camera made it into way too many of my pictures, lol.

And because it needs saying, David Cook looked gorgeous in person. Those pictures don’t tell the tale, that man is photogenic in pictures but he’s even more attractive in person.

All the songs and performances were great but my favorite performance was Light On because of David’s reaction to the glow sticks and the audience’s singing the song back to him.

David banging out on the drums with Kyle (and Joey chiming in) was awesome, David and Neal rockin’ out on guitar was really cool.

BTW, don’t know if its been mentioned but for those of you that caught the Idol show this summer, David’s got Timmeh with him and brought him out on stage and introduced him :)

Just a girlie side note, this event was total eye candy for the ladies in attendance with the two David’s and a slew of other very attractive guests, lol.

Fantastic! I am SO envious of those who got to go.

But envy is a sin!!

I just watched the MLB.com interview with DW & DC and I CANNOT stop laughing at the thought of Cookie hitting the camerman with his first pitch at the Mets game. I’m not a bad person (really, I’m not!), I just have a very vivid imagination and I can totally see this happening and it’s busting me up.
