I was glad to read that David A. is bringing his whole band with him since they will be on their way back from the McFly concerts. I would love to see him and his band and Cook and his band at the same concert – they will have a blast.

sumi, I am definitely going but I’m not sure how close I can get. This is, after all, not going to be one of those Idol “mall shows” (even though the venue is still practically a mall) we are used to, where the Idols are usually very accessible. I will do what I can, though. At the very least, I’ll point you to where the goodies can be found. And there will certainly be lots of them.

ETA: We do get a number of them Idols. Too bad our boy Castro has not been by, sumi. :p

That’s nothin’ for some of these people. One lady recently paid $13,000 for a dinner with David A and his family (total of 12 people). It all went to charity, but some of these people have a lot of money.

Tee Hee – I’m guessing, scalped tickets + hotel + gas + food + fake id’s + diguises is probably pretty similar to that. So, don’t be surprised when the tards show up. Perhaps though, if they don’t already have them, they won’t be able to get passports in time. Or, maybe someone can make an anonymous report and get the crazy pack on the “no fly list” LOL.

My friend is going to Manila about 6 days before this concert and her ticket cost about $2100. So yeah… that’s a LOT of money to shell out for some of those obsessives.

I love David and David, especially together, but they’d have to be playing with Jesus and The Beatles (including the deceased ones) to get me to shell out 2 grand for a plane ticket.

My attention was called to this, so just to clarify, the Davids’ concert(s) are not “mall shows” like those done by Elliott, Taylor, MJ. This is probably closer to the Daughtry concert (read: expensive tickets).

This is what the audio is like at the Journey concert also held at the MOA Grounds the Saturday before last. I understand this (Journey) concert area is different (smaller) from that where the Eraserheads performed. (The Davids could be performing here, depending on ticket sales.)

Unfortunately, what could discourage some people from going to a concert held at this venue is that unless one is right up front, one is not very likely to get a good view (if at all) of the performers on stage. With the Eraserheads, it was alright (it was enough for most to be able to say “I was there!”), but those who want to see their Idols will have to shell out (a lot) and possibly queue early to get good positions. :s

In my case, I’d probably be content to say “I was there.” Heh. :p
