David Archuleta – The Today Show Concert Series

This was a thousand times better then Leno!!! You could actually her the back up vocals and the band wasn’t deathly loud. Great job David :clap_tb:

IMO, Archie did a good job. He was sweet to sign autographs for the crowd outside before and after he sang. I wonder how long he stayed there signing autographs. Al seem impressed because he kept mentioning what a great guy Archie was for doing that. Archie was probably having tour flashbacks from all of the excited fans being so close as he worked the crowd.

That girl even got a hug for her 17th birthday.

And through it all, the boy from Murray amazingly remained seemingly untouched by the nuclear blasts of adoration. To all appearances, from the little I had the chance to interact with him, he stayed the same nervous, unfailingly polite, pathologically modest and humble lad he was when he first arrived at the Idoldome.

I am sure the band made some adjustments on the sound and backups. You could definitely tell the difference. It was fantastic.

Well spins in Jacksonville, Florida has definitely increased in the last 3 days. I don’t know if it is because of all this promo or if they are just picking up spins because of mass request. All I know is that I have heard “Crush” 4 times in the last two days just randomly turning on the radio while I drive. That is awesome! As for the Today show performance it was pretty good. They need to slow it down just a tad bit. Archie looks a little sleepy and it is early in the morning. I know he is nervous as heck today. I was hoping he would perform outside with the crowd. That would of been better with the audience, he sounds so much better when there is a crowd in front of him. As for his clothes, Archie look fine, I think he is turning out to be a very nice looking young man.

The song is great, the shirt is fine, the jacket devine. I think after the whirlwind of the last few days that won’t let up for more than a month he might be a little pooped, but he handles it well. This kid is a keeper!

Update #4: Excite just called me again and said she’s waiting outside TRL and it’s like pandemonium. She said people were singing, but then they started chanting “DA-VID DA-VID DA-VID” when she was on the phone with me, and it was so loud I could hear it clearly. I AM AMAZED.

I just listened to it again, did Archie clear his throat at the end of the song, LOL. It was a nice performance but I actually like the Leno performance more. I am loving his album. It’s going to be getting lots of spins in my car.

I just saw him on TRL. He was awesome! Even better than the Today show performance. You’re right, Sue. He does so much better in front of a live audience. The girls were all singing along with him. When he finished, he touched hands with the fan girlies in front of him. One girl caught hold of his forearm and wouldn’t let go. LOL. Way to go David!

Now that was the shit! I love the TRL performance, the best live “Crush” performance so far. David needs the adrenaline from the crowd to get him into it. I hate to say this but he sounds great without the band in the background. LOL. Ok they well get better together. Here is the link to the TRL performance. Oh crap, great performance on TRL David! The jump to the bridge was HOT, MOLTEN LAVA BOMB! LOL! This was the performance I was a little worried about because of the backing track, but he worked it out fo sho!
