It would be fun if both Davids dress up like each other. Archie’s in the Astroboy hair, guyliner, lace-up pants and the Eleanor Rigby jacket, while Cookie wearing the Mormon ensemble during the tour. LOL

That DJ was so nice! I love the talk about him licking his lips….he has no idea that he still did it while on Idol. She kept mentioning him doing it on the show and he’s like, “it’s only in utah!” LOL

Random thought. I wonder if they ever tried talking to each other in Spanish. They both know a little now but mostly spoke it when they were very young.

Archie seems to be having a good time doing interviews. The blogs are too cute.

A partial video of his appearance at Kiss FM in Chicago. David did well, but he was definitely uncomfortable with these guys. They were kind of crude. Yeesh! And the comment the DJ made about David Cook was uncalled for. And the look on Archie’s face….. ugh.

One funny moment though was the bit following that about his first concert, Natalie Cole, at a jazz festival.

The little exchange above during the B96 interview struck a chord with me. It shows how strong and deeply rooted David’s moral values are. It is very apparent that he takes the teachings of his faith and its moral code very seriously. And I am proud that his fans know him well enough and respect him enough to not engage in such antics. The following observation during the Milwaukee pizza party yesterday further supports this point about his valuesà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦

ah just wanted to add this to the pile of archie related stuffà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ this pic is full of funny.
some gifl gave him a gift bag and it had a pic of a girl on it wearing a really short skirt.. and he was like im just going to draw some shorts on her.. im weird i know.. lol sooo funny!

If you take a look at the picture you can tell that he actually drew in some shorts over the thighs of the girl in the picture.

To further drive home my pointà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ Remember the girl doing the cartwheel in the Crush video? That scene was originally shot with the girl in her bathing suit. When the producers gave David a preview of the video, he apparently took notice of that. He requested that that scene be re-shot with the girl wearing shorts. He wanted this video to represent him and his values and would not settle for less. This was according to Brett, a close friend and neighbor to the Archuletas, who was there during the shooting of the video. (Source: Fans of David)

He just gave an interview in Pittsburgh. Quite lively lol lol

He loves playing lacrosse and running, he’d love to act and take acting lessons, they asked him for releationship advice hahahaha. Some good stuff. lol The girl dj was like im lucky I get to sit closeest to him, he’s been singing every song on break lol, I get a bit of archuleta. lol haha And later she was like youngest here but the biggest gentleman in the room. lol

By the way, I didn’t mean to imply that it is immoral for girls to wear skimpy shorts or to wear a bathing suit while doing a cartwheel, but only that the Mormon codes of conduct tend to be more conservative, and that David is a stickler for the rules, so to speak. Just another one of the myriad of things to admire about David. :smile1_tb:

I’m loving all these Archie interviews!

:annoyed_tb: The one DJ’s comment about David Cook getting hit by a bus was really uncalled for…but I loved Archie’s response (“I’d be sad!” :sad_wp:)

What I love about DA is that he does have strong beliefs and morals but doesn’t flaunt them or force them on others who may not feel the same….rather he simply lives by them. That’s why he is such a great role model for young people today….we need more like him. His sweetness and innocence is so adorable.

actualyl I think he was talking about himself being hit by a bus for saying stuff. Least thats how i heard it, but there was alot of talking going on so… lol

David has done so many interviews in the past few days and several times the DJ’s have said things about other idols, such as Cook and even Brooke. Every time, he sticks up for them. He is even advertising Cook’s album release date and saying he heard parts of Cook’s songs on tour and is excited about them. When asked about other stars, he will never say anything bad. I love that about him!

Good for David for wanting to stick to his morale values, good role model for young people who share similar values, just don’t put him on too high a pedestal.

What’s really funny? When I hear about things like this that David has done – supporting the other idols, staying true to his beliefs and upbringing, not preaching, being a gentleman etc., I think of the ridiculous comment by Paula during the show – I think she said it to Cook – that you are “standing in your truth.” Didn’t make much sense at the time and in the context, but with David now, I can sort of make sense of it! He stands in his truth, lives his deeply held truths, all the time and in every circumstance.

I think what excites me most is that I don’t think he’s going away any time soon, and it will be fascinating to see his journey. I see him as a huge magnet just attracting more and more admirerers as he goes along.

I enjoy watching interviews with DA sometimes…he really is a sweetie. Sometimes I wish my 16 year old would bring him home instead of the pierced tatooed musician wanna-bes she always seems to have in tow! Guess that’s what I get for putting her in an artsy/fartsy high school- Sweet boys but they are of the post grunge/alt variety…nothing wrong with that, great kids and all, but seeing her with another type would be nice for a change

However, I do think it would be too easy to make him saint David. He is an almost 18 year old boy who is human, and I fear for him the day he gets a gf..some of his fans will really lose their shit re his loss of “innocence”

I think most fans of David work hard to avoid projecting qualities onto him that he couldn’t possibly live up to. I enjoy seeing him own his all too human shortcomings, and his attitude about being teachable shows a self awareness that is refreshing in one so young and talented… that air of innocence and the strong values he lives by are a very welcome change from the sometimes egotistical, superficial, hypersexualized image some young artists seem to adopt to garner acceptance and media exposure… he’ll have his ups and downs, twists and turns on the road to adulthood like everyone else, and when the day comes that he is ready to accept love into his life, can’t speak for other fans, but this one will smile, and be happy that he has chosen someone to share what is shaping up to be an extraordinary life…….

An interesting comment several different DJ’s have made the past couple of days were:

One said he has a beautiful Aura and that he is a blessing.

One said that he is so happy- that it is bubbling from him.

One said he is not pretentious and is so normal.

That’s our boy. He is very unique among stars.

18 is just an arbitrary number. I doubt he’s going to change much when December 28th rolls around. In many ways he is much older than his chronological age. And in other ways, he is much younger than his actual age.
