Nothing Else Better to Do has a calypso sound to it.  Tell Me is one of my favorite songs by David.  It hits me in the heart.  The new song Heart Falls Out has a great beat!  David’s vocals are always right on in each song.  I have this on preorder.

  • violet4ever

Wow I love the long clip of Heart Falls Out!   Can’t wait to have the CD in my car.  Amazon, Walmart and Sears all have good preorder prices. WOWHD is higher but ships to a large list of countries and their shipping is free.

This is the complete opposite of what I expected when David announced he was going away for 2 years to serve on a mission. Instead of a drought, we’ve been having a MONSOON!

I’ve pre-ordered a copy. I’m already obsessed with Don’t Run Away. I’m gonna wait to hear Heart Falls Out when I can hear the whole thing. Sounds like a pretty rousing song based on some of the tweets last night. :)

I LOVE David’s Heart Falls Out snippet!
when I first heard it I was kind of surprised..  and happily so.
thought it might be a tad sedate, easy going and it isn’t at all.
I can’t wait to hear the whole thing!!
also wonder if there are any more in his vault like this one!?
    I sure hope so!!

So excited to have new music from David!! Heart Falls Out is such a great song, great beat, “and easy to dance to”! No Matter How Far is going to be such a great addition to anyone’s collection.  Man, he can sing the phonebook!!

  • bsms

Loving the sound of the clips so far!  David’s team is doing a great job in his absence.

Who does this?  3 albums in a year, incredible.  No Matter How Far exceeded my expectations.  I love love Nothing Else Better To Do. Don’t Run Away has been on repeat since its release.  Totally was blindsided by Hearts Fall Out and can’t get it out of my head.  Tell Me has this cry in his voice that makes my heart ache.  Just really appreciate David, Kari and team for everything.  With a year to go I have a feeling there will be more surprises.

It’s #1 at Walmart in preorders and #2 in best sellers.

Thank you so much for letting people know that David Archuleta has a new album coming out on March 26, 2013. His single “Don’t Run Away” is fantastic. All the songs on the tracklist sound amazing. David puts his all into everything he sings. Songs like “Forevermore, “Tell Me” and “I’ll Never Go” are beautiful. I have already pre-ordered the album from ITunes, Amazon and WOW-HD. I also bought “Don’t Run Away” from ITunes. We fans have been blessed with David’s music. I wish every one will buy his new album and feel David’s heart through his music.

I really like Nothing Else Better To Do and Everything and More. It’s great that David was able to get the right to release these songs recorded for Jive and previously released through Sony labels in Asia. I’m still surprised how good Sony has been to David after he left Jive.

It’ll be interesting to see how the label will promote this CD. Can’t imagine that David would have had time to film a music video for the lead single or to do the mini videos about the songs on the cd like he did for his Begin CD. No press interviews obviously. No talkshows or radio visits. No fan chats. No touring. Like I said, this will be interesting.

Heart Falls Out sounds like a real club banger ;p

What could have been the driest drought is instead an abundance of riches. 3 albums in one year! We’re the luckiest fans EVER!

CHIIIOOOEEE!!! You’re making it very difficult for me to hold out listening it! Not fair! STOP THAT!!! :))

I hope he’ll be making some real mature music when he returns. These throw-away pop songs sound so cheesy and dated. He would do well with a more classic simple sound.

  • GRjourney1

Would like to know what are some of your favorite songs?  What do you consider mature music and classic simple sound.  I am not being snarky.  I really want to know.

  • durbesque

No problem getting a music video.  Just follow David around as he does his thing, get a closeup when possible, play the song in the background.  Voila!  David on location!

  • kayd23

Great that David has a new album coming out. There is nothing wrong with releasing new albums while David is away for 2 years. Keeps his name out there and makes his dedicated fans happy. After watching some of AI this season I realize how much I appreciate and miss David’s vocal talents.

  • Heidijoy

I think we’ll be getting some Spanish songs when he returns  :)

  • BAPC

Emeli Sande, Adele, Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons, Ben Howard, Patty Griffin, etc. I’m not saying he should copy any of those styles but they all have some great raw emotional songs. I would be really interested in hearing that from David. Some of his covers are very touching but his original material just doesn’t work for me.

I’m liking this direction with his album.

Aw, MJ, thank you so much for posting David news even though he’s gone! Living in another country makes it difficult to find news on your favorite idol! You can always count on Archie fans to support you in any way! Appreciating you in Germany!

  • kayd23

” Crush” was an original song and I still love it. It was a huge hit single. I can’t wait to hear the music David comes out with when he returns. In the meantime I will buy this album.

  • MissMyEm

I like it.  I hope he gets some radio airplay.

@ThatEricAlper: Clive Davis: “I can’t record you anymore because you don’t sell records.” Duke Ellington: “I thought that was your job.”

David Archuleta likes to sing positive and uplifting songs that challenge his vocal range. Yes, he sometimes does look 16 (but more often looks early 20’s). Yes, he’ll probably never use overt sexuality (a la Chris Brown and Justin Bieber) or overt purity (a la purity ring Jonas Bros) to sell his music. All this may not be “current” right now but as Simon Cowell told David Archuleta at his Hollywood audition that he’s young (16 at the time), good looking and has a really good voice. He has 5 Top 30 CDs and has not failed to make at least $1 million in every year since Idol. Maybe it’s time for his label and management to step up and o their job as Duke Ellington says.

By the way, the person who sent out the above tweet – Eric Alper – is the media relations director from David’s new label E1Music.

Absolutely THRILLED with the song choices for David’s “No Matter How Far” album. Loving “Don’t Run Away” and “Heart Falls Out”. What he has done for his fans to keep us “consoled” during his absence is above & beyond what I ever imagined. He’s  the BEST of the BEST & deserves the support of this incredibly blessed fanbase. Thank you David from the bottom of my heart ?

“I’m still surprised how good Sony has been to David after he left Jive.”

Aside from making a profit through Archie’s music, I wouldn’t be surprised if SONY has a lot of respect for him as a person. From everything that I’ve seen and heard from Archie, he’s seems as genuine as they come and truly a class act. His management has done a great job in maintaining his music profile while he is on his mission, and it’s cool that his fans have new music to enjoy until he returns.
