David Archuleta – No Matter How Far – Billboard Listening Party (AUDIO)

David Archulta has been away on a Mormon mission in Chile since March of last year, but it hasn’t stopped his people from releasing new material from the American Idol season 7 runner up.

Billboard is hosting a listening party of the singer’s latest album, No Matter How Far, a compilation of unreleased tracks.

Two tracks are brand new, including the sweet ballad, “Don’t Run Away,” and “Heart Falls Out.”

No Matter How Far is set to be released on March 26 and can be pre-ordered on iTunes.

    David Archuleta has blown me away once again. I love the songs on this album. I love the current single Don’t Run Away and Heart Falls Out, Tell Me, Nothing Else Better To Do, actually all of them lol.

    I really like Everything and More. A beautiful ballad. So impressed at how David has been able to continue releasing new material for fans. The guy is busier than most idols and I’m pretty sure none of them are on a Mormon mission. I do have to say that I have not been impressed with the promotion for this CD, or lack thereof. Even his manager seems occupied with the Justin Timberlake CD rollout. But David needs the promo way more than JT.

    Thanks, MJ for posting this. David’s voice is so smooth. I just love listening to him sing backup to his own songs. There is a good reason why people who work with him call him a genius including Michael Ormand.

    Fabulous song choices ~ really love “Heart Falls Out”, his new song never heard before. David Archuleta is Best of the Best in my book ~an incomparable singer & heart of gold. What he’s done for his fans, knowing he was going to be away for two years, is something that speaks for his character. Counting the days ’til his return to a stellar music career.     You’re not? Hmmm, I guess I’m too easy to please. EOne has been tweeting about the album and single all day everyday for some time now. And there’s been a mini media explosion with the Billboard streaming today. Hopefully more promo is to come, especially release week. But this is more than I ever expected when David announced he was going on a mission.

    Pretty awesome they put the album on Billboard! Excited for it but I’m more excited for David to get home and start making new music again. To see what direction he’ll go in. This first year has gone by fast and slow. I hope the next year goes more fast than slow lol.

    I miss him. Not just the music either — I miss his random tweets, his random vlogs, his random everything. He has such a unique spirit that’s very much missed. I do very much appreciate all the work that went into preparing stuff for staggered release while he’s gone but it’s not the same as him being here. I am grateful for it though.

    Good for David for releasing a new album while he is away on a mission. Actually isn’t this his second album he released while he is away? I miss David too. I will always remain a fan as he is just so talented.

    I’m hoping the next year goes by like when you go on a long trip, it takes so long to get there but the return trip seems to go by so fast. I hear the missing him for sure. If someone would’ve told me I’d be an avid fan of anyone I’d say they’re nuts lol Five years later I miss him and can’t wait for his return. Will be flying my first time ever to his welcome home show!

    Kari is David’s tour manager and is handling his fan mail and twitter account is what I’ve read. Gina Orr is supposed to be his manager, probably as Team Archuleta. I’m curious to see the liner notes which David is famous for the detail he puts in these.

    David is so smart. Keep releasing music to keep your name out there and keep your fans around or some of them at least. Love the new tracks and the older ones. :) Can’t wait to see him in concert again in 2014.

    A friend of mine who teases me about being such a big fan of David’s listened to his music on Billboard and said, “I get it now.” She had never taken the time to listen to any of his music. She thought he was a Justin Beiber-like singer and couldn’t figure out why he interested me. She also did some further research and was surprised to find out what a humble, caring young man that he is.

    No matter How Far is the third album released since David left, starting with Forevermore and BEGIN. Amazing. This album works nicely! So many great tracks, many of which would have been on his second pop album if he hadn’t decided to go more personal with it w/ fewer love songs.

    Love that the album is on Billboard for streaming. I am thrilled that David and team have released yet…another album while he is away. What a fabulous album too, personally I just love it! It definitely makes it easier while David is away, to give us that voice, some great new music and David’s wonderful heart and his spirit behind it all. The next year will go by quickly!

    After listening to all the tracks, I think Nothing Else Better to Do is my favorite. It IS David. Especially with all the food references. Hope his team has the courage to release it as a single.
