Kanye West and Ne-Yo and Rihanna (and even Leona Lewis and David Archuleta, to a lesser extent) made me realize that while the ever-shrinking beast that is “pop music” certainly has its problems in 2008, its high points can still bring smiles to faces and twitchiness to butts.

The final two acts of the night were both pitched directly toward the swooning girls; David Archuleta played four tracks, including a sprightly cover of Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles,”

The reviewer that wrote that review thinks Ne-Yo is the best artist of that show. Enough said.

I love how far David’s come with his live performances of Crush. He’s such a pro at performing this live now. He had a bit of a shaky start during his informal Ford Day performance back in early September and now he’s doing amazing with it. It’s a testament to how hard he works to continue stepping up his game.

I’m so grateful that Crush turned out to be such a great fit for David in terms of his first single. That song has been a Godsend and I just hope as a fan that it will be the first of many success for David in the music industry because he truly deserves to shine with his talent and love for all things music.

i think that was me, lol. They were even announcing on the radio not to take video cause if you get caught, they were keeping your camera!! So i didn’t take any, my camera was brand new!!
by the way, i think the -9 was the windchill…..it was actually a decent day the day before, but then the wind picked up, that’s what made it so cold!

What never ceases to amaze me is how long David’s voice (and general health) has held out. We’re going on …what…close to a year now of constant singing – not to mention travel and media commitments -with only a handful of day’s off in between performances. I’d say it’s quite apparent that he knows how to take care of himself pretty well. Let’s keep our fingers crossed he can maintain it throughout his upcoming solo tour and we haven’t just been lucky so far!

Love the interviews! He’s so charming and sweet! What’s not to like?

^^^ Glad you posted that b/c after checking out the video of WFM, I was like what ??? it sounded a little weird… not bad but just not like I’ve heard it performed before.

^I guess there is feed back with the sound system… when they were recording… it happend to the best of us… still great that they chose David ´s songs for the video… Go David…

^^^ absolutely! I was thrilled to see that they used David’s song for the video.. I have a silly question… what do you mean by feedback? I’ve seen in mentioned before in previous threads and not quite sure I know what it means (technically). Thanks.

^I ´m not a sound expert, but I do focus group and we call it feedback when for the position that the mic or system is installed you get an echo… by example, I used a closed circuit to record in a room were a random group of people were presented with a subject, my client use to sit behind a wall so he can watch the focus group with out being inside the room, but if you open the door of the room I will record the original voice od the people talking inside and the sound from the tv my client was watching… so it will end of sounding like and echo… sorry If I don ´t made myself clear…

The 16-year-old actress updated her fans on everything from her upcoming CD to David Archuleta. It was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!! I started at 7pm and the chat went til about 8:30pm, but the time passed so quickly! It was a blast to answer the questions and see the comments coming in and everything. ^^ lol. I always get the words to White Christmas mixed up–probably because there’s not a lot of variation melodically between verses, no chorus to break them up, but the words change. In fact I’m trying to sing it in my head but I keep singing the first verse twice. He barely skipped a beat, though, and his voice sounded gorgeous.

Most importantly for me, he sounded GREAT on White Christmas — which is one of my favorites. If he does a Christmas CD, and I pray he does, I want that song on the album.
