What a busy guy! On tour, doing interviews, appearance on Larry King, ET, Univision, and who knows what else! Awesome voice and love every song on his album! Can’t help but like this guy! He’s so funny and a great live performer!

I’m glad the album is doing so well! I had a chance to see him on tour a couple weeks ago, he really has grown as a performer. I’m looking forward to what’s to come for him, but everything coming up this month is pretty exicting too.

^^^ Ice storms/blizzard warnings between KC and St. Paul. Probably for the best. Not only for David, Benton and the bands but for peeps going to the show. Sucks to be one of the ones going though.

Just got back from the airport-/flight cancelled to St.Paul. Was worried about Archie and all because of blizzard warnings. Got home to find message on my answeering machine from ILOVEAccess that the concert was cancelled. Glad that flight got cancelled or I would be in St. Paul by myself. Of course I would have done something,but now I can stay put “until this storm passes. Think I’ll wait “til spring for a concert or whenever the next one comes. Disappointed I won’t hear the Christmas songs live but glad everyone will be safe.

The potentially huge blizzard currently creeping into the Twin Cities, which might dump as much as 10 inches of snow on us by Thursday, has claimed its first casualty: American Idol star David Archuleta, who has cancelled his “Christmas From The Heart” tour stop Wednesday, Dec. 9 at the Fitzgerald because of inclement weather. I bought this CD as an early Chrismas present for a friend of mine that loves Christmas music. She really does play it off and on all year long! She loves it!

Great point, Kitwana! I have heard him introduced as an “American Idol superstar” which makes me think he is winning fans everywhere he does appear…all on his own.

When he was featured as a heart throb in People with Rick Springfield, it hit me that he may be bigger right now than even we realize. There are so many other young males who might have been featured: Zach Efron, any of the Jonas brothers, Jesse McCartney, Robert Pattison, Taylor Lautner…just to name a few.

But People chose David, an unassuming young man who is so unaffected by his fame…and so thankful for his fans. A young man who can touch a soul with his voice.

Just.WOW!

Joy to the World on David’s album is actually my favorite. He sings this with such conviction, especially that last verse…gave me major chills first time I heard it, made me bawl….but he’s always had that affect on me. I’m SO looking forward to his concert in 3 days…Waukegan IL. WOO HOO!!!

I’m still frustrated about my cancelled concert.- But safe!!

i was just over at itunes. the album is doing well–at no. 25. But the single isn’t even in the top 100. It’s a good vocal, of course–he always sounds great–but what’s with Jive offering that song as the single? Personally, I think Pat-a-Pan is the best song on the CD and had the best potential to be a single that returns year after year. But many of the others–Ave Maria, Silent Night, O Holy Night, Have Yourself a Merry–are stronger than Joy to the World. sorry to sound off–but it is frustrating.

But the single isn’t even in the top 100.

Yay Archie, looks like he’s doing alright sales wise with his album and this free single offer should help him increase his sales. Of course, I still won’t buy this one cuz I’m Jewish and I don’t celebrate Christmas. But it’s good to know he’s succeeding with this album b/c it means Jive will for sure support his sophmore pop album.

I tried to download Joy To the World, and it was saying I needed to upgrade iTunes, so I did. But I can’t still download the single. I already bought the album, though. I will try again to download it.

Friday’s Waukegan concert seems to be still on, so I will enjoy The Riddle, Fields of Gold, Ave Maria, O holy night, Pat-a-Pan and hopefully Feliz Navidad and more. Waukegan, here I come!!

The concert tonight was so so awesome, I’m glad I finally got to see him live. I did see Andrew but didn’t really want to bother him.

I saw Andrew tonight, too. I could see him hanging out side stage before the show and then he came out to his seat for Benton’s and Archie’s sets. Cook’s mom and step-dad were also there. Cook’s mom was in the audience singing along with Archie to Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. ha ha!

It was an amaaaazing concert. It was my first time seeing him live and …just….gah! And we had live strings tonight and a …. piccolo?

We almost didn’t go because of the crappy weather. Glad we made it. It was dicey for a bit getting there.

I’m back from the concert now too.

I worried about the weather all week.

Forgot all of my worry from the time I excited my car in the parking garage until the time I reentered it after the show. I know David is really good live, but it’s as if I forget how very very good he is live. He sang Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas solo, and he was so … bluesy. So good. He puts his entire self into the delivery of each song. Anyway. Gushing here.

Even though my drive home was terrible — ice packed Interstate and blowing snow — I’d do it again tomorrow.

I’m way excited about the #s for CFTH, it is a very good cd that really showcases David’s excellent musical talent as well as his sincerity. I hope it sells at least 200K.

David sounded awesome as usually even through the Crappy Undewater CellCast (CUCC). Happy for every one who was able to make it out and in safely.

Heidijoy, sorry your concert was cancelled. I know I would be in a royal funk if that happened to me even though I realize safety must be priority one.
