David Archuleta Blogs from Hawaii, Build-a-Bear Single available 2/14

David Archuleta will be the first to record a single for the Build-a-Bear Workshop called “Let’s Talk About Love”.

It will be available for download on February 14–but you better hurry, because it will only be available until March 4th.   Proceeds from the song will go to the Save the Children fund. Fans of David has more information HERE.

In the meantime, David blogs from sunny Hawaii, where he sang the National Anthem at the NFL Pro Bowl on Sunday.   On his way to Hawaii, he ran into David Cook and his peeps at LAX.

Whaddaya know:

Aloha! I’m here in sunny Hawaii, and it’s so nice here. I sang at the Pro Bowl yesterday, and that was way cool. Enrique Iglesias and Ciara sang during the halftime, and that was fun to watch because we got to watch from the field. I didn’t get a chance to talk to Ciara, but Enrique was a cool guy. He’s tall though! I didn’t realize how tall he was. He’s 6 ft. 2 in. haha. But anyway, the day before the Pro Bowl performance I sang at Ohana Day where people can watch the players practice. I sang A Little Too Not Over You, and it went well. Today we’re going to try and look around the island and be tourists haha. It’s so beautiful here, and I forgot how much I miss hot humid weather. It’s been a long time since I haven’t worn a scarf and jacket, because even last year during spring and summer we were always inside cold studios or arenas. Oh you know what’s funny is while I was in the LAX airport for my layover, I ran into Cook and his gang. We were in the same gate area haha. Only he was headed to Florida, and I was leaving Florida.

    I’m so glad David gets a chance to have some R&R and in Hawaii, of all places. He certainly deserves it. I wonder if he remembered to bring his Teen Choice Award to ride the waves. :laugh_tb:

    It’s so cool to meet Cook in LAX. How random, but awesome. haha…
    I’m also glad he has time to travle in Hawaii. Hawaii is sunny and nnnnnnnnice~~

    I don’t think, Niall, that he needs to negotiate a free bear since he is doing this just for charity. I also don’t think that charity and helping children has any “appropriate age”. All it takes is a kind and generous heart.

    FYI, all proceeds of the single that David is releasing for Build-A-bear is going to CHARITY. I’m glad we still have artists like David that care about the world around them. David is definitely “one in a million”.

    IGetCranked, I’m GIGGLING first thing in the morning, and on a day when I’m working a headache. Love that David is having fun in Hawaii and I am so not surprised that he is singing for people.

    Love that kid!

    Now. Need to google Build-A-Bear, because we don’t have a store in my town and I’m going to need that song on my iPod.

    Actually the dude’s fiancee is acting a little weird. Archuleta wore her lei and acknowledged her with a nod. Why is she obsessing over needing more from him? Taking the day off work on the off chance she will see him at the airport is just bizarre, regardless of whether or not it is ultimately successful. The idea that seeing a celebrity isn’t complete without a face to face meeting is unhealthy.

    Someone blogged about the PCC performance, evidently david was just at a laua to eat and have fun and then they asked him if he would sing lol.

    “I am so grateful that I am able to work at the PCC. It is such a once in a lifetime experience. I work in the luau selling tropical smoothies that come in a real pineapple shell. This video is where I work. I was going around the tables when I saw David Archuleta himself sitting there. I stopped breathing. I am in love with him and his voice. Well I was able to get a good stare at him for an hour. I kept walking pass his table and just watched him smile. He got a text a couple of times. haha OH I love his smile. Well Uncle Benny, the MC of the show, called David to come up on stage and sing! David Archuleta performed live in the luau! It was incredible! I was SO happy and I absolutley loved it. I just live in Hawaii and work at the PCC! It is such a great opportunity. The environment is 100% Hawaiian and I won’t ever get to do this again. It was an awesome performance and he sounded amazing and it was the best day at work ever. ”
