Congrats to David! He’s too humble about his Spanish language abilities. It has always been his second language. I expect a CD to pop upon the Latin charts in the future.

There’s a reason David Archuleta was honored for his acheivements in music at the 2009 ALMA Awards ‘â€ he’s freakin’ incredible.

The 18-year-old with a voice that could take down artists twice his age performed on the awards show, which celebrates the best in entertainment by Hispanic artists, singing in complete Spanish. His ballad of choice was ‘Contigo en la Distancia,’ a song made famous in recent years by Christina Aguilera.

If Christina has the ultimate female version, it’s safe to say David owns this song for the guys. His voice was flawless, chill-inducing ‘â€ nothing short of amazing.

Awww…I was not able to see the pictures from last night but then I open mj’s and here’s a nice bright and shiny picture of David all dressed up! I’m practicaly in tears. I just feel really proud of him and I really wish much success for him. I think he’s soooo talented with tons of potential but really underrated in the music business. Here’s hoping that this is only the first of the many awards that he will receive!
