It is SO hard to tell, but the song seems like it would fit in with what’s on radio right now, and it is also upbeat and fun. Love the whoa-oh-oh-ohs.

Uh? and who in the world is TG ?? LOL, anyway in a musical moment where the uptempo songs are all over the top 40 radio stations with big names in the industry and big money behind them to do promo, i don’t think is safe at all lol, actually is kind of risky, take the challenge to put an uptempo song, dancing vibe to compete with them.

Based on this very short clip, the song sounds promising. I was a bit concerned that with all the time David was spending in Nashville, including with some of Carrie Underwood’s writers, that the first single would have too much of a pop-country sound like “Undo it”. Clearly this song does not. If this clip is any indication, Jive is clearly shooting for Top 40 Pop/Rhythmic with this album. Can’t wait for the full song.

I like it. Now, what I’d like to see Archie do is incorporate a few dance steps when he performs this. You know, loosen up a little bit more on stage. (I know he’s capable of it). I can picture the moves in my head of what I’m talking about, but can’t explain in words so much. It would be to sort of like take a small amount of Adam’s basic moves and throw those into the mix. Not the overt ahem-you-know-what-I-mean moves, but just well, again…
loosin up and don’t be so shy ;) to do some dance moves. (as opposed to bopping and stomping).

This is a great summer song, btw. But yes, we do need the whole version and cleaner audio to get the whole picture on this one.

As someone who likes David’s more upbeat songs in the last album (Touch My Hand was my favorite), this slightly upbeat tune is a yes for me! :)

Best quality for me was making the phone call and listening to David and the song on a land line phone. Exciting hearing from David and hearing his excitement and then the song. Then calling an giving him feedback. I like it!!!

Oh ITA! He just doesn’t introduce us to them until he’s good and ready, lol. We get them in small/slow increments. Heck, I love everything he does…I’m a huge fan of his. Not the kind of song that i enjoy listen to, but it seems fun and good enough for radio. And well, he always sounds better than 90% of the voices out there.

Thank goodness that even with the poor quality of the recording I can hear his terrific *voice* and not the ridiculous, buzzy overdub drone that ruins so much pop music. And it’s catchy to boot! Yay Archie!

Please let this be a trend, where people who can sing are allowed to be heard above all the crappola producers use that muddies up so much music these days.

About Arch adding dance moves, if he added just a touch it would work well. If he performed entirely coreographed routines it would detract from that amazing voice. But I know he’s capable of busting some moves!

According to David Filice (@DavidfMusic), the bass player for the tour band, David Archuleta co-wrote the new single. He wrote it along with a songwriter whose first name is Chris. Filice would not divulge his last name though.

I hate being teased like this… a dribble at a time. Love the song. It has a very catchy tune and a beat to make you move. David’s voice, even on a tinny cell phone is amazing. The falsetto is amazing. I can’t wait for the full thing!

on the fence about this… i’ll probably download 1 copy from the mothership the 13th, then concentrate on itunes from the 20th… i dunno, visibility /downloads from itunes seems/feels more effective and efficient… how are the sales tracked for this from the mothership… are they rolled up into the soundscan/itunes numbers for reporting, or not… inquiring minds, and all that rot, really want to know… :)

Selling from the mothership is not without precedent. Weren’t Kris’s and Adams albums and singles also available for sale from their respective motherships? Surely Soundscan has ways of tracking their sales.
