Daughtry Performs On Oprah Election Event – Tuesday 11/4

Daughtry will be performing on Oprah Tuesday, as part of her special two-day election event. According to the latest Daughtry newsletter:

The boys are back! Oprah is kicking off November with a two-day special event. On Tuesday, Nov. 4, à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“The Oprah Winfrey Showà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  hosts an all-American voting party as people with different viewpoints come together for a celebration of our right to vote.

Featuring performances by the multi-platinum rock band Daughtry the live show will include à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Saturday Night Liveà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  cast members, Whoopi Goldberg and Elisabeth Hasselbeck (à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“The Viewà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ), and dueling political power couple Mary Matalin and James Carville.

Nice gig!   That should be some nice exposure for Chris Daughtry and the band.

The appearance on Oprah will cap a busy election season for Daughtry.   They contributed a cover of Foreigner’s “Feels Like the First Time” (available on the Daughtry Deluxe reissue) to CNN’s special report, “League of First Time Voters.” The band also performed during both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions in Denver and Minneapolis.

    WOW!! This is HUGE!! Well at least to me, I live in Chicago…I’ve been wanting them on Oprah forever but ain’t no chance of getting in to see that show….DANG IT!!! According to THIS they’ll also have an interview after the performance. I really like the fact they haven’t picked a candidate or party to back, their stance all along has just been to get informed and vote…I wish all celebrities did the same :tongue1_tb:

    Great gig for Chris and his band. I actually listened to the latest Daughtry song in it’s entirety on the radio a few days ago. First time. I surprised myself. LOL.
