Danny Gokey headlined at the Vermont State Fair Friday evening; other artists at the event this year included Wynonna Judd. Saturday saw Danny performing at the 2010 WGAR Country Jam in the Cleveland, Ohio area, in a multiple artist line-up led by Jason Aldean and Sara Evans.

Danny mentions in the first part of the T-R-O-U-B-L-E video from Vermont that he will have his own 36-city tour coming up this fall.  Specifics on the tour have not yet been announced, but dates that have come to light on Danny’s schedule through October include fairs and festivals in Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, and Kansas; charity benefit concerts in Tennessee and Virginia; a radio station acoustic concert in Buffalo NY; and other dates at club and theater venues including Philadelphia area and Vancouver B.C.

Danny tries to answer as many questions as possible in a minute for CMT. Seems to have been taped earlier in the year, but just recently posted at CMT.com.

Wow! I didn’t realize there was so much interest in Danny! People still commenting even after the thread is off the page, lol.

He never gripes about having to pose in photo after photo, or sign hundreds of autographs when he probably wants nothing more than to go back inside his bus and take a nap. Yet he always accommodates his fans and does so with a smile, no matter how tired he is. As hard as Danny works, he has every right to be cranky sometimes, but he never is. He also never refuses to meet his fans and make them feel special. To me, Danny radiates goodness and joy whether he’s performing or not. He loves his life and he loves his fans, and wants nothing more than for everyone to share his joy with him

I have met Danny many times and yes, he is just as you described :)

He has sat and autographed for 1000 fans with a smile (at two different concerts I was at). Everyone who meets him says how nice and how down to earth he is. Even Jamba Jim who snarks on everyone and loves to make fun of Danny has publicly stated on MJs blog how genuine and nice and non – arrogant Danny is. And if nothing else, Jim Cantiello pulls no punches.

Never heard Danny preach since his AI run; that’s all I can say about that!

I met Kris once at one of the AI tours I was at (he didn’t come out for the other) and he seemed nice. Didn’t get an aura of “goodness” off him, but I know he does a lot for charity like Danny does. Kudos to him.

I am proud to be a Danny fan and follow such a great guy; not embarrassed to proclaim that.
