Dancing With The Stars – Week 3 – Results

Those couples left awaiting their fate where so obviously shaken when Steve/Karina were sent to safety. There’ll be no scapegoating the Woz…not this week, anyway.

IMO, that post about DWTS being rigged was a ploy by Wozniak to not be bounced early. Next week, he’s gone.

Sometimes I think I’d sell one of my children to have Edyta’s body. Probably the older one, he eat’s a lot.

ETA: Oh, so it’s between the two ladies who’s boobs are slightly famous. Well, regardless of performance, I find Holly oddly likable, and Denise annoying as hell. So, I’m hoping Hef’s ex wins out over Charlie’s.

Wow, both Steves are safe? Now, that surprised me. And it looked like it surprised the hell out of Lacey too, LOL

I think Maks is gonna be happy if he gets voted out early. He knows that he has a dud contestant and I don’t think he wants to suffer through a few more weeks with Denise’s neuroses.

They really seem to enjoy leaving the SYTYCD alumni hanging till the last minute. They did that last week as well.

I missed Holly and Dimitry dancing last night so I don’t know if there was any improvement or not. But Denise Richards still sucks, actually I thought she was a little worse tonight, but I’m no dancer so what do I know, lol.

What was with Dimitry tripping over his words to say how much he likes dancing with Holly, WTF? Did I miss something?

AInoob, I am on the West Coast so I am not seeing what is happening now, but yesterday Dmitry was asked if he missed Jewel, and he sort of stumbled with that, saying that he did, but didn’t really stress that he liked dancing with Holly. Dmitry didn’t have that great of a Poker Face on SYTYCD either, so you could tell that he was thinking “most definitely” when asked. hehe

ETA: Yay! Dmitry dances another day. I’m not going to miss Denise either, so I am okay with this result.

Dude, I used to never pay attention to this show, but with all the SYTYCD alumni I now follow it closely. How sad. ha

Ah, thank you Calliope, I didn’t know he’d been asked about Jewel yesterday. I’m glad he and Holly are advancing over Denise and Maks, although I didn’t notice Holly looking to enthusiastic, lol. Maybe she wanted to go home!

I am kind of surprised Maks got eliminated so early. He is so darn hot….but I think he lost a bit of flavor last year when he called Lacy and Cheryl fat. It didn’t help last week when he and Denise started crying about the unfairness of Melissa’s background. It came off so much like sour grapes that I wouldn’t be surprised if people were not happy with that.

Yeah really, wtf is voting for Steve W.? He’s probably hacking into the system and fixing the vote.

I’m a little surprised Boobs Mcgee is safe especially being a replacement even though for the performance night Denise was all over the place more so then Holly. I just thought Max had more fans who would vote regardless of his partner but I guess not.

Just kill me now! I have so tanked in this office pool, I will never ever be able to make it back. Denise Richards was not good, but come on – The Woz is safe? Sigh.

I’m surprised but am glad Denise is gone. She seems so fake and her face doesn’t move, lol. I don’t think they were the weakest team left though. I thought it would be either Holly or Steve W tonight.

The Woz has the likeability factor going for him. I find him waay more entertaining than Cloris, and she lasted a few rounds.

I’m not surprised Denise is gone. I don’t know too many peeps who like her. She went first. Nothing really there that was inspiring anyone to vote FOR her. I just wish I put all my points on her and not 10 on Woz. I just didn’t see him overcoming the deficit from the judge’s score of 10.

Out of all the contestants, I liked Denise the least so I’m happy she’s gone. Woz is a horrible dancer but he is just so endearing I can’t help but like him.

I have an amazing total of ZERO points in the pool! I think I’m a strong contender FTW!

I totally agree! Susan was quite a bit older than either of them and she could still move better!

I came pretty close this week…. due to Woz’ comments, I had a feeling TPTB wouldn’t let him go this week. I split my points between him and Holly because I can’t imagine women (the core demo of the show) would be inclined to vote for her, and her partner is new. Not much fan base for either of them, and she’s terrible, and she’s a Playmate, etc. I figured she’s leaving early.

But Denise and Maks? Nope. She wasn’t a great dancer, and may not have the female sympathy vote, but Maks’ fanbase is huge. (OR so I thought!) For that reason, I honestly can’t believe they left this early. Maybe her comments about Melissa did have an impact. Who knows.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but, I’m rooting for Steve-O. Not that he has a shot to go all the way (my points are on Melissa) but he is REALLY trying, and I find Lacey adorable.

Bring on more pro dances! Always loved Hall and Oates, great to see them.

I’m actually watching some of this season. Woz is hilarious and I also like the rodeo guy. I hope they both stay for weeks. Woz is more entertaining than anyone on both this show and AI. Has he asked everyone who owns an Apple to vote for his yet?

If I can figure out how voting works, I may throw him my first DWTS votes ever.

I have a feeling that Maks and Karina requested people this year that weren’t going to go far. They’re planning a wedding and according to Maks they want to be married before the year is over. That will be much easier if the two of them are not tied up every day trying to teach some celebrity how to dance. All they’ll probably have to do is learn one or two pro dances every week. Much less time consuming!

Maybe her comments about Melissa did have an impact. Who knows.

Hall can still sing, but it was pretty early in the evening so his voice was rusty.

Usually the concerts start around 8 p.m. Many of the “older” ones sound better later in the day.

Hall is at the top of my “singers I’d like to have sex with” list…

Denise is unlikeable and she sucked at dancing so I’m not surprised that she’s gone. I’m happy that Woz and Steve-0 are still there.

Lots of women like Holly, especially the ones who watched her show. She’s smart, funny and nice. Guys probably see the same qualities in her and they find her hot. For a short notice addition, she’s doing OK. Glad that she got to stay.

I guess I dont get how the dance-off works. Bottom two dance again, and then how is it decided who goes home? Denise and Maks get 20 and Dmitry and Holly get 18- so why did Denise and Maks go home? Didn’t the same thing happen last week, that Belinda beat Steve in the dance off and still went home? I don’t get it…

I’m not sure I do either, but….

Apparently, using some crazy-ass formula that only makes sense to them, they add the previous night’s score + votes + dance-off score (assigning some kind of point level for each). That point formula is what dictates who is going home.

So, the fact that Denise scored better than Holly in the dance-off, I guess could not overcome how far behind she was in the fan vote.

This sums it up completely! Maks use to be my favorite dancer until last year. I was so happy to see Dmitry on the show this year. Hot guy. I have a feeling he would have lasted longer with Jewel, but you never know about these things.

Most have thought Katrina would leave before Maks. SHOCK! I also thought the two Steve would be in the Bottom Two. Strange…

As you all notice this week, Denise and Maks get 20 and Holly & Dimitri got 18. That was only half the scores. half will be from people votes.This was the most important one.

Even with 2 point lead, Denise lost to Holly. Or let put it other way, even when Woz only got 10 points and Holly 17 (from Tuesday night), he got enough people votes to escape bottom 2.

So I am puzzled why they do this dance off. Cause it clear that people votes though onlt count half of celeb scores, but the votes can make or beak you and not judges scores.

Another example:

Even if Denise & Maks got 30 in dance off and Holly only 18, Holly still can win over denise as long as she had more than 4,7% advantage in people votes than Denise. (that doable)
