Cloris and Corky are eliminated tonight

Yeah, I suppose it was Cloris’s time to go, but if I’m being perfectly honest, I was hoping it would be somebody else. Especially after this week’s reports of trouble on the set–how some of the cast and crew felt Cloris’s continued survival week after week was “tarnishing” the trophy. Bitch please, a bunch of fame ho’s signing up for a reality show? At least American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance attempt to find new talent. DWTS is designed as pure entertainment, and Cloris entertained. It just wasn’t via the dance floor. Really, I would not have missed either Maurice or Susan if they’d been eliminated tonight. And interesting that there was no bottom 2 tonight…hm. I’m guessing Maurice and Cheryl were really bottom 2, but they pitted Susan against Cloris for the drama.

Next week begins “Team Dances”. It’s something new! And Len will be back, thank Gawd. I missed the old crankster.

Live Recap and Video after the JUMP…

Michael Flatley, Missy Elliott and the Pussycat Dolls perform tonight.

And…the endless recap begins. Blah…blah…blah…

The contestants are dressed in their Hip-hop get up. Last night’s group dance must be the encore performance tonight. We’ll find out after the break…

And Hip-hop it is! It’s just as hilariously cheesy as it was last night. OMG. Cloris, it’s so time for you to go home. Susan, you ain’t got no rhythm…

I wanted to see Lacey and Lance’s Jive again. Oh well.

Endless recap: Blah blah..scores…blah…blah…blah…

The first couple safe is, Lance and Lacey. Bonus question for me! Joining them…Cody.

It’s time for the Ballroom Kidz! Craig and Samantha, a brother-sister team, are up first. Their little sister Kara won last year.

Next is Simon and Lucy dancing the Samba. They cook. And dance. Came in 1st place at Nationals, but nobody knows the boy dances! Right. Craig and Samantha were better.

By unanimous decision, Craig and Samantha move on to the Kids Ballroom finals.

Missy Elliott and The Pussycat Dolls perform. Why the eff is Missy Elliott slumming with these no-talent bitches? Srsly.

Samantha interviews Cody and his new partner Edyta. I didn’t understand a word that Edyta said. Julianne’s surgery went well today. She’s at home resting. Lance and Lacey are psyched to finally be in first place. Next week: Team dancing!

The next couple who is safe is…Warren and Kym.

Michael Flatley performs “Capone”. Fancy tap dancing! Flames! Explosions!

FILLER ALERT: Video about mental toughness featuring the couples…and some dudes. I don’t know. I wasn’t paying attention…

No bottom two this week. Susan and Tony are still in jeopardy. Brooke and Derek are safe. Duh. Cloris and Corky are still in jeopardy. Maurice and Cheryl are safe. NO POINTS FOR ME! I suck. So, I’m betting Maurice and Cheryl were really in the bottom 2…

Cloris says, “I’m not leaving!” But she is. Cloris and Corky are eliminated tonight.

Safe:

  • Lance and Lacey
  • Cody (Julianne had surgery today, Cody will be dancing with Edyta next week)
  • Warren and Kym
  • Brooke and Derek
  • Maurice and Cheryl

Lance is safe. Yay! Now I can watch The Mentalist. I will read your recap of DWTS.

Bonus question for me too! YAY! :)

  • Lisa

    FINALLY

  • KrazeeK120

I was so annoyed with Cloris last week that I boldly announced that I would continue to put my points on her until she was eliminated. So yay for me this week. Plus, I got both of the bonus questions right. Double yay!

  • smartcookie

I thought they would tell Cody first that he was safe, because of the Julianne/surgery thing. So close to all the points! Oh well.

  • dvls

I miss the pro group dances that they used to do during the results shows. They made the long drawn-out results shows worth watching. And by pros, I mean the dancers that are dancing with the stars on the show not these random groups they have been bringing on this season!

I was sure that Cloris would outlast Susan :doh_tb: :cheese1_ee:

  • canadiandcfan

i can’t believe they let another doll sing! like other than nicole!

I’m a little sad Cloris is gone. But all will be well if Susan goes next week

  • http://myspace.com/saltwatercures pj

Yay for KK. I put 5pts on Maurice to hedge my bet. Otherwise, I did well.

  • PokeSmot

HA! I hedged my bets with half on Susan & half on Cloris; yeah me!

Seriously, Susan needs to go before she cracks…mentally and physically.

    Til next week y’all…

Peace Out & Poke Smot! :smoke_tb:

  • dante

I also went half with Susan and half with Cloris and was secretly hoping Susan would go. No fun watching her dance and she looks like she is gonna have a breakdown. Hope Susan goes next week but I know she has guite a fanbase.

  • beachn

Nicole should dump those dolls. She doesn’t need them.

  • Talos4

Susan looks so fragile and she stood out like a sore thumb during the group number.

Second week in a row I got all the points! I’m on a roll! LOL! I’m glad Cloris is finally gone. Her schtick was really getting old. Next week should be Susan.

dvls – I agree with you! I miss the group pro dances too.

Very glad Julianne’s surgery went well.

I’m wondering how this team dancing is going to work. Seems to be a set up for bad scoring – not that that is anything new on this show!

  • KrazeeK120

Susan looks so fragile and she stood out like a sore thumb during the group number.

Which is why she’ll probably go home next week.

  • Lisa

I voted for Cloris to go the previous three times. She cost me alot of points! LOL. So I vowed I would vote for her until she was booted, fourth time must have been the charm! 26pts for me! Wheeee! Maybe I can move up from the bottom a bit now.

  • Allison

I almost wish Susan was gone instead of Cloris. Cloris was a bit funny, Susan is just so hopeless.

  • just sayin

Awwww, Cloris was entertaining. I’m going to miss her……if I even keep watching. I’m not as in love with this show as the rest of the country, I guess. I’ve watched it off and on…

The grumblings about Cloris ruining the show cracked me up. It’s a cheesy show starring B-list celebrities. Why are some viewers confusing it with a serious dance competition?

Very late to this thread, but SO.MUCH.WORD to the above. Cloris cracks me up every time. Whereas Susan is just painful to watch. I wasn’t mad Cloris outlasted Toni, I was annoyed that Susan did!

I hate how they do this no bottom-two thing at whim. People complain about producer manipulation on AI, but the fact that they sometimes show the bottom two and sometimes don’t makes it seem much more manipulative to me. At least with AI, there’s more disclosure of who’s in danger each week, so people get a better sense of the contestants’ relative popularity, and vote accordingly if they want to “save” someone, but this way, fans could get blindsided. Not that I vote for the show, but still, I watch, so I like to bitch haha.

Yes, yes, and yes! DWTS is just as much about the “Stars” part as it is about the “Dancing” part, and Cloris’s cringe moments were just as fun for me to watch as Warren and Kym getting all Matrixy.

Plus, the gossip about people griping and whining backstage about Cloris is a big turnoff to me. Like this show has any more integrity than Circus of the Stars, fer gawd’s sake!
