Dancing with the Stars Premiers on Monday – Play the Pool!

The new season begins on Monday, and I’ll be posting live blogs of Monday’s performance show, and the results news on Tuesday.

Singer-songwriter Jewel and Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell have both dropped out of the competition due to pre-show injuries.   Holly Madison, who is reportedly the ex-girlfriend of Hugh Heffner, and star of   some lam-0 reality show about living in the Heff mansion called “The Girls Next Door,” is rumored to be joining the cast.

Update: Jilted bachlorette Melissa Rycroft is reported to be taking Nancy O’Dell’s place.

All will be revealed during the Monday night premiere at 8/7c on ABC.

    Go Holly don ´t let me down… I really enjoy watching Girls Next Door, my guilty pleasure, so I really want her in it…

    And I think Shawn is probably the one with more chance to win this one… she is America ´sweetheart after all…

    this says that girl melissa from the bachelor show dallas cowboy cheerleader will be taking over for nancy…

    Awww, good for Melissa. That would be cool. I caught the finale of The Bachelor this season because my roommate watches it, and I really felt bad for her. She might actually be pretty good too – cheerleader dancing is definitely not the same as ballroom dancing, but the training and experience can only help her. I’d say that’s a good last minute replacement.

    t2, I agree – Dmitry better be on this season!! I’m totally all about 2x the eyecandy with Dmitry and Maks. ;)

    I said last season that I wasn’t sure if I would even watch this season, but Shawn Johnson, plus Maks being back, PLUS Chelsie, Lacey, and Dmitry from SYTYCD, and I’m hooked again. Of course, depending on how the season goes, the pool may be the only thing that keeps me watching. Heh.

    Sad that Jewel and Nancy O Dell withdrew, cause I believe they are the more familiar and famous faces from other celebs who compete. Almost like Dancing With The (NO ) Stars now. And if their replacement are Holly and Melissa, kind of A – List celebs changed into C – List celebs

    Will it count if I give points to them now and then whoever replace them get booted out in first week?

    I got to feel bad for Tony though as ever since he danced with Stacy Kiebler he has been giving terrible partners.

    Shawn Johnson is awesome, from some clip I saw. I’m looking forward to seeing what she will do.

    Who did Karina Smirnoff have last year? Poor thing won’t go far with the Apple guy I bet.

    There should be chemistry galore between lovely Julianne and yummy Chuck Wicks. I think they are dating. I’m glad she got somebody good for a change. She’s had a dry spell since the racing guy. And I wonder what ever happened to him? I thought he was nice. I think he cried when he got arrested.

    Well, Karina is getting ready for her wedding so she’ll probably welcome some time off this year. I think it was last season that she had Rocco DiSpirito.

    Julianne is dating Chuck Wicks. They were on Access Hollywood last week. So cute together! Helio is on trial for tax evasion and/or tax fraud.

    I don’t think I can keep up with two pools at the same time! I will be watching this year, though because I recently found out that a good friend from high school works for the show. I need to watch for his name in the credits. :clap_tb:

    MJ, my TV Guide does not show a Result Show for Tuesday. In the past, DWTS did not have a Result Show until the sedond week. (Or has this already been mentioned elsewhere?)

    cruzceleste – The Girls Next Door is my guilty pleasure too! I was planning on watching DWTS again this season (haven’t watched since Season 3) because of Chelsea and Dmitry, but I am really excited to see Holly.
