Right before last night’s Dancing with the Stars results show, Julianne Hough blogged that the judges had it in for Cody, and that she had a feeling last night would be her and Cody’s last night:

So about last night. I donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t know what the judges were watching or thinking. I donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t know what they had a problem with. I think they simply had it in for Cody and didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t want him to make the finals. I thought he did a great job. I went and watched the dances again and he was awesome. I thought he should have had much better scores and better comments.

Not that he needs any defense, but it was hard to learn two dances this week, on top of the fact it was the first week we were back together. He has been really emotional. That was apparent last week when we talked to Dr. Drew. Cody’s also really tired. Ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s been 13 weeks since we started this whole thing. Heà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s exhausted.

I just don’t think the judges got it last night. You can tell, I can’t figure out what they were looking at. I feel like they haven’t been nice to us this whole season. Cody has been trying so hard. But he doesnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t seem to be able to anything right for the judges. I feel bad for him.

As for tonight, Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m nervous going into the show. I think it might be our last night. Codyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s 18 and this is probably the biggest thing heà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s done. I think the opportunities are just going to flow to him. I think this is going to be a big thing in his life and his career. Heà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s done an awesome job. I donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t think he couldà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ve done anything more. No matter what happens, Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m so proud of him.

So much whining! Julianne–neither of your dances Monday night were very good.

Watch Julianne and Cody’s elimination, after the jump…

Aww, I agree that it was time for Cody to go last night, but I love those two and their genuine friendship, and I’m glad they got a send-off clip. I think Julianne’s whining is just because she seems so protective of Cody that she doesn’t realize that maybe she’s the one who’s unable to view their dances objectively, not the judges.

i dont think he deserved to win the whole thing
    that being said though
i love him and juliane and i agree with her
that the judges had it in for him and for that matter (lance & lacey) … especially if you look at the over pimping they gave brooke all season (i’ve grown to hate reality shows for this very reason.. but dangit i can’t get myself to stop watchin them… like tonites so you think you can dance canada weeeeeeeeeee i love it :) )

i for one am glad he made it as far as he did… i enjoyed their chemistry as i enjoy lance and laceys chemistry.. cuz if awards were given out for chemistry the two couples would tie!!

I thought Cody did a real good job an I was hoping against hope he’d prevail over Kym and Warren. I just don’t think Kym’s choreography is anything special. Cute costumes, though.

Wow. I agree. That was whiny in the extreme. Cody is NOT a better dancer than the three who were ahead of him. Well, maybe Warren, but that is purely subjective.

The judges have to judge what they see and Cody, adorable as he is, and as much as I wanted him to stay over Warren, was judged fairly. I actually think he and Warren should have been tied, but they were close, nonetheless.

If Julianne wants a way out of this show, she may have found it, but I sure wouldn’t be too willing to give up that job over her, uh, uhm, “singing career.”

STFU, Julianne. She and her bro both have whining issues, don’t they? (I’m talking about Derek last year and how the judges were unfair to his squeeze, Shannon.)

I thought Cody was about equal with Warren too and was hoping for Cody to pull it out. I agree with Julianne. The judges didn’t want him to be in the finals.
Warren is very awkward in most dances but his personality carries him through.

I thought Cody’s moves on his knees were awesome.

Cody should have gone last week instead of Maurice, who showed improvement throughout the show. Cody was just as awkward when he left as when he started. Julianne is smoking something. ;-)

Warren has oodles of charisma, which is also important. He isn’t the best dancer, but he entertains. Cody, not so much.

I thought Codyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s moves on his knees were awesome.

That was the only part of the routine that was remarkable. That move has been done before and better, but YMMV.

Julianne seems to forget that the audience had quite a bit to do with Cody leaving too. Fanbases are crucial and I doubt Cody’s Hannah Montana fans watch this show or vote in such droves to counterbalance Warren’s football fans. I’m surprised at her but maybe she’s also experiencing problems with not making it to the finals this year for the first time in three years. Cody and their dances this week just weren’t that impressive.

Cody’s better than Warren but they (the people running the show) wanted to offer something different and, honestly, Warren is something different. I cannot see Warren having any great saving fan base to justify him prevailing over Cody, the judges wanted a “personality” in the finale and Cody comes across as a bit of a drip. The finale is all about Brooke and Lance anyway, clearly the best two from the beginning and Lance is really a contender (if not a front runner) now.
