Derek Hough tagged along with his Dancing with The Stars partner, Kellie Pickler, on her tour dates this weekend. The American Idol alum and DWTS contestant performed Friday night in Jackson, MI and Saturday at the Little River Casino in Manistee, MI.
After the audience chanted wildly for Derek to come out on stage, he signed autographs, took video of the crowd and carried the singer off the stage.
Before the show, Kellie talked to MLive about her DWTS experience. “You sit back and you watch it on TV, and you say, ‘Oh, I can do that,'” she said. “Ah, totally foot in mouth moment. It is the hardest thing I have ever done.”
On the buzz, that she’s one of the seasons top contenders, Kellie says, “Well, I didn’t know…I’m here and putting everything I got into it for that little shiny Mirror Ball.”
Kellie calls Derek “phenomenal” and plans to find a professional ballroom dancer in Nashville once the season is over.
Derek and Kellie will perform a Jazz routine when Dancing with the Stars returns on Monday at 8/7c pm on ABC. The first results show airs Tuesday at 9/8c pm.
