At 8 pm, ABC is airing a special featuring the All-Stars, which I won’t be liveblogging. Sorry! But I’m putting up the results post early, in case some of you are watching and want to discuss.

At 9/8c, I’ll begin blogging the results show. Cher Lloyd will be on hand to perform. Stay tuned!

Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson are eliminated.  After that bizarre and badly danced routine that had Joey dressed as Charlie Chaplin dancing the quickstep to a freaky big band version of Radiohead’s “Creep”, it’s no wonder.

The judges choose the Sabrina and Louis Quickstep as this week’s encore! Now for some REHASH of last night’s dances.

Sabrina and Louis, Emmitt and Cheryl, Drew and Anna and Joey and Kym are up first. Joey and Kym are IN JEOPARDY.

Next week features a double elimination

Cher Lloyd takes the stage to lip sync sing her hit “Want U Back”

Tom says that the level of dancing this season is so high, that every week is like the finals!  Next, a fillery video package featuring the pros talking about their all star partner’s strengths.

Macys Stars of Dance is next.  OH HI ALEX WONG.

And after, the troop performs. OH LOOK It’s LACEY AND BENJI SCHWIMMER. Choreographed by Jason Gilkerson.

Shawn and Derick, Kirstie and Maks, Bristol and Mark and Kelly and Val are up next. Kelly and Val are IN JEOPARDY.

Oh. Bristol Palin whining about getting 6s. What does she care? She doesn’t have to dance well or be charming in order to get votes. #teaparty

Katharine Jenkins and Placido Domingo sing “Come What May” from the movie  Moulin Rouge.

Gilles and Peta, Melissa and Tony, Apolo and Karina and Helio and Chelsie are next. Helio and Chelsie are IN JEOPARDY.

I watch Kelly’s performance several times and feel she is a terrific dancer.  I want her around for a few weeks.  Please send Bristol home.  She is taking the spot of a more talented and lovable dancer.  She has a sour attitude and doesn’t want to be there!

I was sorry to see Joey go, but had a bad feeling that Bristol Palin would make it through at the expense of someone else.  I was very surprised to see Helio in the bottom two.  I have always liked him and he did really well.  I guess it’s just tough competition with the All-Stars.  It’s going to come down to fan base this season. Those like myself who have watching this show since the beginning, know all these people. It’s not easy to choose among so many.

I love Kym, too. She is not only talented, but such a lovely woman.  I hate to lose her so early in the competition.  I guess that Bristol’s got peeps, as they say! Also Kirstie.  She has not looked nearly as good as before. I  forgot how much I enjoyed Melissa with Tony. He gets stuck with lousy contestants who can’t dance, but with Melissa they both seem to have so much fun.

Sabrina does have a tendency to overdance. I think Louis will be better for her than Mark.  He is a great choreographer and knows how to work on both strengths and weaknesses.  She was always technically strong, but she has to learn to hold back a little and also bring the showmanship. It’s not about who is the best pure dancer.

I think the double elimination is going to be even harder. I also think that we can expect some more surprises.  I fear that some will go home too soon. But this is such a talented group that each week is going to be awful.

I really don’t think Kelly Monaco is going anywhere. Besides being a great dancer, she’s a huge fan favorite on GH, which is an ABC show. Soap fans will redouble their efforts if they believe her bottom 3 appearance was legit and not a ploy by the producers.

I don’t know why Sarah Palin or Republican is always brought up as a reason for dislike of Bristol Palin the “dancer.” This is a dance competition and Bristol can’t dance. Republican, Democrat, Green Party, or Independent she is totally out of her league. She may be a nice girl, have her over the house sometimes to swap chili recipes, but this should have been the best season of DWTS. Pam, Bristol, and Kirsty had to know when they signed up the reaction. Either keep up or go home.

  • hcpoirot

hoping that viewers bored with Bristol and Kristie very very mediocre dances and send one of them home next week. It will be a bonus if both of them get send home.

Otherwise, Helio, Drew, and probably Melissa and Sabrina will close at going home next week. Both Sabrina and Melissa had to score high around 26-27 to be safe next week. I do not think their fan base is as big as the talentless Bristol and tired Kristie.

  • hcpoirot

Only Giles, Apollo, Emmit and Shawn are going nowhere. But they also had to scored decent cause it is double elimination. people will redoubled their effort to votes and we will probably had a surprise exit.

  • Chris

All of the dancers you mentioned are good and who knows, maybe even Republican if that’s a rationale for a candidate. I so wish politics never mixed with this show. It just ruined the format.

  • fuzzywuzzy

I agree. It’s incredibly annoying to know that the only reason why Bristol stays on the show is because of support that has nothing to do with her dancing ability.

  • Allison

Following the show on mj’s since I worked both Monday & Tuesday nights, and I am pissed Bristol is still on. The only reason they cast her was for the controversy/ratings and that makes mad. Joey was entertaining.

  • Nedsdag

I made a bet with someone that Bristol would not go home. She thought I was crazy. Well, I’m $2 richer because of it. Plus, it would not surprise me if she lasts until the Top Eight and perhaps knocks out a more deserving dancer (Sabrina, maybe?).
