Crystal Bowersox Shoots “Dead Weight” Music Video

Crystal Bowresox is getting set to release her sophomore album, All That for This, on March 26. She just released a single from that album “Dead Weight” and yesterday, she shot the music video for the song.

Check out a few photos the American Idol 9 runner-up tweeted from the set:

It’s epic that Crystal had a great time shooting this video for a buzz song. However, I don’t get Shanachie’s thinking here. The radio single is Movin On, but you make a video for Dead Weight? Sure, it had some promo on Seacrest’s site and it’s available at iTunes, but would it make sense to make the video for the radio single rather than the buzz single? Also, if you was making the video for Dead Weight, should Shanachie sent that to radio in place of Movin On?

In my book, she is and will always be the winner of Idol S9.

I like Dead Weight better than Movin On. Maybe they’re changing their mind about the single?

I’m really confused what they are doing. First I thought Dead Weight was the first single. But then they sent Moving On to radio. But now they are shooting a music video for Dead Weight.

So exactly which song is the first single? :)

Crystal wasn’t my favorite from S9 when it ended, but once all top three put out their albums she quickly became my favorite.

I hope her Album #2 sells well.  Not every artist needs big radio play to sell and perhaps she can make a nice living as an indie folkie singer.

The label has not said a word about Movin On…it just showed up at all access…they have been calling Dead Weight the single. the tweet about Dead Weight, but not Movin On…although Movin On streams along with Dead Weight when you go to her website. Movin On has not been released for sale either.

I hear you Danny, the publicist called dead weight a buzz track but Rick and the label always call it “the single.”

Hmmm my comments disappeared…I was just going to say that the label has been doing a lot of tweeting about the “Single” Dead Weight. One publicist called it a buzz track, but Rick Rosenberg always call is a single, hes the vp of marketing…

Not a single tweet from them about Movin On…If it wasn’t spotted on all access we wouldn’t know its out.
