Cops Find Overturned Truck Owned by Randy Travis

This is really odd. And sad. I suspect Randy Travis’ lawyer is lying for him. From TMZ.:

Police in Frisco, TX found a smashed up truck belonging to Randy Travis early Saturday morning, but a lawyer for the troubled country star says Travis hasn’t been in that vehicle for months.

The truck was found on its side in a field just one day after Travis was cited for assault outside a church in nearby Plano.

A lawyer for Travis told WFAA that Travis is not the one who left it there and that Travis had not been in that truck for the past few months.

Previously, Randy was cited for assault after brawling in a church parking lot and he was arrested for DUI after crashing his car.

    Okay. This reminds me of the time when Charlie Sheen’s cars were being driven off a cliff but not by him.

    What has caused him to go off the deep end so suddenly? There might be something seriously mentally wrong with him right now. I feel so bad. :’(

    Alcohol – this is not new for him.  His manager, whom he married years ago, sobered him up, and they’re now divorced.  Since this divorce, he’s been drinking heavily again.

    When I read something like this, there’s usually no need to bother identifying the source.  TMZ always seems to be first in line to reveal all the trashy news… both real and imagined.  ;)

    Oh dear, he has really gone off the rails. I hope he is able to sober up and get it together. It’s sad to see something like this unfold.

    At this point, covering for Randy is not helping him.

    He’s hit rock bottom and started digging. Unless he seeks help, this is not going to end well. Either he will end up dead or he will kill somebody else with a vehicle obliterating his legacy.

    Which is it?  Are they divorced or not?  Either way, he’s gonna need a lot of therapy for a long time to make it on his own.  Unless he finds another woman to take care of him.

    Exactly.  Until he hits bottom and admits he has a problem, I fear things will only get worse from here which is sad.

    Hitting rock bottom and getting help is the best possible scenario at this point.  Unfortunately, some die while in the midst of falling to the bottom.  I hope Randy can be rescued or can somehow rescue himself…..and soon.  It’s so sad to hear of anyone going though this sort of thing.

    Maybe he hadn’t drove the truck in months, but since he smashed up the Pontiac guess he had to take “ol’ Bessie” for this run ;)

    You know if he wants to drink himself past oblivion, fine and good, that’s suicidal but his business. Once he gets behind the wheel it becomes homicidal! I am afraid he is past the point of giving a damn, and that is heartbreaking.

    Paula was never this kind of trainwreck. Never a danger to herself and others. Saw the smilie face, but this isn’t funny. Its scary and sad.

    Exactly. He is a danger to others at this point. I just hope he gets some help before he hurts someone. Or heck, He gets another DUI and they throw him in jail. Maybe that will get his attention.

    They need to get him in rehab fast before he kills himself or someone else.

    It’s horrible to watch someone poor their life down the drain. And of course he was driving the truck. But he can’t afford another case and he wasn’t caught by the cops time.
