Ha! Doesn’t look like him at all. If he wasn’t standing there holding that pic, I’d never know that’s who it was meant to be. Much better looking portrait than he actually is, lol. IMO, etc.

    Heh. I have to agree.

This is what he thinks he looks like.

LOL. So true. It does look much better than the real Connie.

The caricature is from an actual photo of Constantine.

I think it’s a great honor. Clay got his a couple of years ago.

Constantine was in Jacques Brel?? When/where was this? What character did he play?

I know he was in the 2006 Off-Broadway Revival of Jacques Brel, but I’m not certain what role he played. I vaguely remember reading good reviews of him at the time.

    So THIS. Hee

To be fair I went to Sardis once and stared at all those caricatures and I barely recognized *anyone*. Only some very iconic people looked realistic. Getting a portrait there is such a huge honor for anyone in theatre. Constantines already huge ego must be exploding now…

Good for Constantine! The more people from AI get recognized for their real talent, the better it is for all of them. Constantine was great on Broadway, and if I remember right, he was a theater major at the Conservatory?, so he has done very well in his chosen field.

I’m kinda proud of old Constantine for doing so good here lately with his career. Good for him.
I read that he has done several different shows. Jacques Brel, Jesus Christ Superstar, Wedding Singer before he got Rock Of Ages. I saw ROA. He was really good in it.

Let’s not forget the Bold and the Beautiful.

Oh I agree it is an honor for him to have a his mug up on the wall at Sardi’s, I was only commenting that the drawing didn’t look very much like him in any identifiable way, lol. But, after seeing the photo they used to base the caricature on, I can see the resemblance to the photo, but the photo they used was pretty generic. I have no problem with his success, and as others have said, the more former contestants who are successful post Idol, the better it is for all of them. Gives them a little more cred, coming off the show, that it’s a real star making machine like they advertise, and not just a glorified kareoke contest.

Actually, Constantine himself kind of looks like a caricature of the *picture,*, I think. lol … Connie Connie Connie. Probably will be nice in his old age to be able to think he looked like this!

Does Constantine ever take a picture without doing the whole “rock hands” thing? Anyway, congrats to Constantine, that’s cool.

    Looks like Bo Bice.
