Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson all attended Rock of Ages starring Constantine Maroulis at the Pantages theater in Los Angeles last night.

Check out more photos after the night.

A parade of celebrities have check out the show since it landed in Los Angeles, including Tom Cruise (who is set to play aging rock star, Stacee Jax) and Matt Damon.

The pictures are all really good. I didn’t realize Constantine was so tall. He towers over everyone in the pictures. Congrats to Constantine for his success.

Constantine still creeps me out in all his photos, lol, but that’s really nice that the Idol crew went out to support him. I hear the show’s a lot of campy fun, so the success and attention seems well-deserved.

The nice thing about “Broadway” is also the worst thing. Constantine has had a great gig, has done really well, and has and still has some stability. Problem is, though, once the lights dim on Rock of Ages will he be a viable product to get more gigs. He is NOW so identified with this role can he move on? It will be interesting to see if there is something deeper in Connie or if the rock pout will be his only claim to fame.

Constantine really got lucky with this show. I’ve read a few reviews where it was said the part was made for him. It really seems like it was. Perfect part for him.

I think he will be able to play other musicals on Broadway. He’s good in this part, but he’s done other shows off and on Broadway. Eventually, he will have to lose the long hair though.

His background is in musical theater, not just Rock, so if he’s not typecast he should be able to handle other roles. I’ve seen him in ROA, a regional production of JCSS and off BW in Jacques Brel is Alive & Well….(which is as far from ROA as you can get). I’m no longer much of a fan but I have to say he was very good in both JCSS & (especially) Jacques Brel.

And yeah – the hair is too much.

mj, you might want to edit your post. If Tom finds out you classified him as an “aging” rock star, he might sue you. I hear he likes to do that.

I saw this show when it came to town. I was very impressed with Mig Ayesa, but Constantine not so much. My companions felt the same way. It’s great for him to get all that positive feedback and recognition. It’s a bit surprising to me though JMHO.

I thought both Mig and Constantine were really good in Rock of Ages-hard to picture Tom Cruise in Mig’s role. The show was indeed campy fun!!!

Constantine does the same poochy-lip pose ine every picture. He is a bit creepy.

I saw the show in January. I’m a Constantine h8ter from way back, but I have to admit he did a great job. I wasn’t expecting the show to be so hilarious, but it was. We couldn’t stop laughing. I think it helps if you went to high school in the late 80′s LOL.

I think Tom Cruise is a whackadoo, but that doesn’t change the fact that I also think he’s played some really good parts. He’s good at stealth humor. I see no reason why he couldn’t play Mig’s role in the film (other than the fact that I’ve never heard him sing. Can he?). I would not be suprised at all if Cruise played that role really well.
