Two performances today. We have gotten more news about this tour than I ever imagined. The troops have been very giving.

    David Archuleta @DavidArchie · 3h
Back in Kuwait. Already had a show last night here and will have 2 more today.

The full performance of Bring Him Home blew me away.

Catching up with David Cook: Rock singer and American Idol winner

There will be a lot of exciting things happening in Cook’s near future. “There will be a new record, new music and new shows. ‘New’ is the word,” he said.

Thank you Fan Dja for bringing video of David singing Bring Him Home to MJ’s. Gives me goosebumps. His 2 years away certainly has done nothing to hurt that beautiful voice.

Welp. I did my usual last minute ticket thingy and got 7th row floor for tomorrow’s Adam Lambert + Queen concert at the Garden!

I probably shouldn’t even bother trying for videos, because there’s a whole team of fans taking care of that, right? I thought maybe I’d go, enjoy the show and use fan videos for my recap.

  • Bunny391848

Have fun! I went to Philly last week and it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to!

Don’t try making videos. Last week people already had HD videos on YT two hours after it was over. I didn’t even bother putting mine up.

Have fun and forget about taking videos. I put my camera away after Stone Cold Crazy because I realized all I really wanted to do was just get into the concert with the rest of the crowd. And congrats on your great seats!

  • Mel432

I hope you get an Adam-clowning around show. He was dead serious at MSG. Singing was extraordinary, however, and the audience gave very long and warm reception to Brian (the entire band+Adam, but esp Brian).

  • YankeeFan08

LOL! “He was dead serious”??? What concert did you see? I was there. He was fun, playful and fully engaged the audience. They LOVED him!

  • YankeeFan08

Don’t worry about videos. Just enjoy the show. I had floor seats close to the stage at MSG. It was an amazing experience. Have a great time!

  • Mel432

He didn’t clown around like the other shows. Oh, he spit into the audience, and all, “hi mom”, but he didn’t act goofy before CLTCL, etc.

  • YankeeFan08

Well, not acting “goofy” doesn’t mean he was “dead serious”. LOL

  • Mel432

Maybe wrong wording. Compared to the other shows and the ones after MSG, he was more straight up.

  • YankeeFan08

I don’t think “straight up” describes it either, but that’s just me.

  • Mel432

If you’ve seen other shows, you would know what I mean. Anyone? Bueller?

  • YankeeFan08

I was at Mohegan Sun too! ;)

  • fuzzywuzzy

Excellent, MJ! I hope that you have a great time! Don’t worry about taking videos and just enjoy the show.

ETA: I’m curious, MJ. When you buy tickets at the last minute, is that from secondary resellers or are they newly-released seats from the venue/ticketmaster?

  • Kathy Hayes

He spit into the audience? That sounds disgusting.

  • fuzzywuzzy

I think that he takes a mouthful of water and sprays a part of the audience. So some saliva is there, but it’s highly diluted. lol

  • Bunny391848

Yep……Werid Al does it too at his shows

  • fuzzywuzzy

    Lovely rendition! Nice!

  • Kathy Hayes

I don’t care if the Pope does it, it’s still disgusting… lol.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Oh, I’d much rather be sprayed by Adam than the Pope. lol

  • stef

    still – eww

  • Kathy Hayes

I don’t want to be sprayed by anyone. Yuck!

  • fuzzywuzzy

Yeah, if I were in “range” I would hold up a plastic sheet or something. lol

  • tripp_ncwy

Lots of new Kris dates posted today on his Fleming Artists itinerary.

  • girlygirl

I hope some of these dates are headlining shows. But yay — lots of new gigs! And double yay, I see Nashville show on that list

  • http://www.mjsbigblog.com/ mjsbigblog

I went to Ticketmaster today and got great seats at face value!

  • lkingcorn

I think MSG was kind of a turning point for Adam. He has really loosened up since, understanderably. He has brought a sense of fun to the entire tour. Dr. Bri and Roger are having a great good time. And it shows. They have become a cohesive group. Saw then in CA and the QAL team have lightened up and moving together. I’m just sorry this will be ending soon.

  • kimak

love this performance.. one of his best so far at least by me.

  • lkingcorn

Haven’t heard or read a single complaint from anyone who got wet from the Killer Queen spray.

  • nncw

OMG he is coming to Montreal what a wonderful surprise!

  • fuzzywuzzy

Great timing! I’ve heard that sometimes the venue releases very good seats at the last minute, but I’ve never had luck doing that. Good for you!

  • fuzzywuzzy

I wouldn’t be surprised if the majority of people were OK with it, but some weren’t too happy.

  • Mel432

He really takes in a lot of water. Really a lot. I have a feeling he swallows a little bit then shoots out the rest. Interestingly, Killer Queen seems to be a favorite of a lot of people.

  • ceecee21

I live in Portland and checked the size of the venue and it’s pretty small. It holds just under 800 for GA and about 550 if they use the seated configuration. Is that really enough to pay the venue, two bands and travel expenses? Doesn’t seem like there would be much of a paycheck.

  • #BehindTheLight

The concertgoers of last night’s double-whammy at our Portsmouth Amphitheater were treated to some really great jams. Phillip Phillips took the stage and dominated the crowd with his awesome band. This guy really knows how to lead a band and bring it “home”. Phillips’ smart lyrics, vocals and mastery of the strum is straight up ear-candy every time I see him live. Keep up the good work dude!

  • girlygirl

He doesn’t pay the other band. And he doesn’t pay the venue.

  • elliegrll

There are 500 seat venues all around the country, and they’ve been in business for decades, so I’m going to assume that they wouldn’t continue to exist if they were not profitable for everyone, both the acts and the venue.
