Clay Aiken announced his candidacy for a seat in congress representing the North Carolina district in Raleigh, but today he formally filed papers to run. So now it’s official! According to the Associated Press, the American Idol season 2 runner up will face off against at least two other candidates — former state Commerce Secretary Keith Crisco of Asheboro and licensed professional counselor Toni Morris of Fayetteville.
