Scott McIntyre – didn’t like him on show but thought he was very good in person – piano was great – I actually think he has a career – jokes were cute – he looked good! Hubby agreed!

Thanks for the recap. I love Scott. It’s a blessing to have watched him perform live and met him and his brother here in Vancouver, BC.

I adore Adam but I couldn’t see him nor could I hear a lot over the screaming – crowd even screamed thru Mad World when I hoped they’d shut up!

I agree with the OP and Will above. That’s why I would never go to this AI concert. It’s not worth paying that kind of money to get a headache and not get to hear the singing. And I too have stopped bothering to watch Adam’s concert videos. I’ll just wait for the post-Idol cd.

I still read the recaps just in case something new happens. And I like to see that some fans have had a change of heart where certain performers are concerned. Scott wasn’t one of my Top 10 but it’s nice to hear others think he’s doing a respectable job now and again.

I couldn’t agree more — I’ve given up on trying to watch videos of that song, since the screams completely spoil the intended mood. I think the term “fantard” is never more applicable than with the idiots who try to drown him out with their insane antics. Didn’t they pay all that money to listen to him sing???

Kris Allen – all the talk of him following Adam is bunk! Heartless was GREAT! Crowd never sat down after Adam and Kris seamlessly took over! !

I’m hoping that Adam will have more control over the sound mixing on his solo tour. I have heard that he has asked for “less band” in rehearsals … and in one of his Upright Cabaret youtubes you can see him signaling the piano player to soften it a little … he knows that musicians should be supporting him, not competing with him.

I’m also hoping that a longer solo concert will give the fans a chance to calm down a little and listen. Again, I’m sure when Adam has more control he will structure his sets so there will be some quiet time as well as rocking it out.

I’m glad to hear that the Adam to Kris changeover seemed good to you and in no way a let-down of the atmosphere. I’m thinking that as the concerts move on to the middle section of the country Kris will become more the focus than Adam – hard to imagine, but I think it could happen in a few places.

Scream-level and bandzilla are mentioned more in some re-caps than others.
It must be because of different acoustics in the various arenas, plus seating area of the re-cappers. I won’t mind the screams inbetween numbers, but it’s a bit daft of fans screaming all through a number when they’ve paid to go to hear it!

While it sucks not hearing The Gifted Adam Lambert, I’m happy about the screamage. It needs to stay that level to catapult him past the naysaying bloggers and so called critics and benches who would hurt him. I trust the boy really understands what’s ahead of him. Very little “life” as a normal person and alot of security issues.

I am so sick of overinvested fans already. Demanding, intrusive and crazy… living in a “mrs adam lambert” dreamworld. Even having the nerve to lecture him and complain if he’s not at their beck and call. Crackpots. Lets hope they BUY MUSIC.

Shame about you not being able to hear Adam over the screaming, were you sitting in a particularly raucous section? The speakers are usually pretty loud at arenas.

THIS, is one of the reasons I won’t go to an AI concert: all the screaming. I want to hear Adam, not a bunch of screaming fans…

Completely agree with you about the bathrooms. it was the worst I’d ever seen and how is it in a venue so new that they cannot figure that system out? I know it’s made primarily for hockey and may not have a large female audience, but that was insane. I held it. While I was waiting for my friend it took so long I thought I had to have lost her, there was no way it could take that long ‘“ wrong.

I wasn’t too bothered by the band, I don’t know why. Maybe it depends on where you sit.

Glad you got to see Adam!! I didn’t wait at the busses. Haven’t decided if I will tonight.
