Wonder why he didn’t sing his new single Rockin’ With You going for radio adds tomorrow on Top40?

He performed “ROCKIN WITH YOU” live too. It would probably be posted later.

Soooo he’s getting a third single? How did his album do?

His EP dropped only a week ago, and this is clearly a single released specifically to be used in promoting the album launch, as the prior (second) single had already tanked at radio. For his label to try to promote the album with either a single that had already peaked and gone (YH) or one that had failed would be criminally stupid — equivalent to tossing the album out there to die and writing off the label’s entire investment.

That doesn’t mean third singles on low-selling albums are standard, as that absolutely isn’t the case. What it means is there are special circumstances in which a label will see a business case for trying one more single on a low-selling album. It’s fortunate for Chris Rene that he landed one of them — I hope this one turns it around for him.

I was really surprised to hear he got a third single, especially after “Trouble” did pretty much nothing. But like Eilonwy said, I guess they decided to release a new song to promote the release of the EP. It will be interesting to see how much of a push the label ties to give this single, though. I would bet this 3rd single will be the one he performs when he goes to perform on XF.

I saw his EP in Walmart last week but it was buried in the back and not among the new releases so I was wondering about it. They must be counting on an xfactor tie in.

I wasn’t a big fan of Chris on XF but really liked his performance today. He is kind of low key, which worksa for him. He does have charisma, hope his EP gets a boost.
