Since he watched the show for years, he should have known that that was an unwise move at that stage in the AI game. It's just not wise to cross people who can hurt you when you don't have to do it. Stubborn streaks don't always work for the benefit of the stubborn person. Sometimes they are met with resistance from someone with more power. There were so many better songs that he could have picked. I like the song and I liked the way he sang it but I'm not male. I don't mind that a cutie is singing with such conviction about asking a girl for a one night stand. I also was not watching the show with kids next to me on the couch. But when he sang ballads, they were completely bland. If he could have brought some of the verve he had when he was dancing all over the stage to those ballads, he might still be in the race.
