MJ: Major points go to Casey for not literally rolling his eyes at the host…

    Yeah, this.

I can actually get behind this acoustic version of COAS. Way more character in CaseyJ’s singing and playing and way more individuality in his phrasing than in the studio version. Nice job!

Casey changed the acoustic version of COAS only recently. I like it much, much more then the previous acoustic version, especially the intro.

It is nice to see Casey perform on VH1, I wouldn’t have expected it since VH1 isn’t country. But I dont expect any sales hike from this.

The new intro to COAS is indeed gold, love love it!

Here’s a short but sweet article from ABCNews:

I love this version of COAS.  It’s so beautifully poignant.

So excited for Casey, crossing over to VH1 — he’s so talented and such a nice guy– he deserves all the recognition and fame that is coming his way.

Love the acoustic version of “COAS”!  Regarding the article from ABC News, that had to be such a rush for Casey to see himself on that big Sony screen in Times Square!

One of the things I enjoy about Casey is how his songs keep morphing – for example Drive. Drive has sooooo many variations out there and I love them all. It seems that COAS is going thru the same kind of evolution. Casey keeps playing and adding and cutting. It really is fun to watch and listen.

And yeah. He handled the whole shirt thing like a pro. I love his wry wit. “Yeah, I go for months not thinking about that and then, here I am, on VH1 talking about it.”

    LOL

His sense of humor cracks me up!

    Really really nice job.

I am by no means a fan of country music, but I really like this song. I first heard it months ago when MJ featured it in an article about Casey. I purchased it from ITunes and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.

Casey’s acoustic performances are always great! Really like this version of COAS.

I haven’t really been following Casey since he went the country route but really enjoyed this.  I’m sure he didn’t love talking about being shirtless rather than his music but was a good sport.
