Casey Abrams posts ANOTHER acoustic performance from his upcoming self-titled album, set to be released on June 26. “Midnight Girl” might be my favorite of the songs I’ve heard so far.

These songs are surprising me. I wasn’t expecting a jazzier sound? But I’m more than ok with the adult alternative thing he’s got going here.

Thirty second samples of the album are available at Amazon. Check it out.

I always liked him most when he wasn’t veering all over the place, vocally.  Nice vocals, and decent song.  It will be interesting to hear the album version.

    I think Casey’s guitar needed tuning.  :)

“Blame It On Me” is the stand out for me, a real toe tapper :D

His hair and beard need a good tuning too… eeewwww. is he stuck in a sixties time warp? Have a beard and have long hair, but look after them both… no need to look homeless

     I couldn’t help thinking “Hippie”!  ;)

This song is awesome. I am so happy for him. He is so talented.
I just hope all his fans really buy his album.
I think he has potential to breakthrough in the music business. Here´s hoping
All the songs I´ve heard from him I like it. I am excited.

I think he needs a shave, personally.

I really like the song. I just love that Casey just is who he is. So very talented.  I hope that he never changes.

Dear Casey- Please get some landscaping on your face- let me also add, you look stoned in that video.

Having said that- I really like this song, and the snippet of the recorded version is pretty true (translation: not too overproduced) to this acoustic version.

This reminds me of a lot of Tracy Chapman’s songs, for some reason.

His falsetto is not good, sorry.

Pretty song, but doesn’t really stand out to me.

I Love this song. I dont mind his unkempt look. This guy is a musical genius. Was’nt planning on buying his album, but now I changed my mind.

meeeh! sound just so-so to me..nice vocal tone but his high pitch lack power..and please don’t ‘tweak’ how to pronouce the word ‘girl’ (toward the end of the video…..)

omg, he looks like a fuzzy bear.  awww…  Dude, aren’t you just a kid???  lol…
(I mean that in a nice way. He’s so cool that he’s comfortable with his image.)

Wow, I really love this song.  He is a good song writer.  If he is already established artist, this could be an instant hit.  Sigh.
I think we exhausted the discussion of why radio stations wouldn’t play our favorite songs, and I don’t know what Casey can do about it.

I am not a huge Casey fan largely because I don’t think there is much special about his voice.  But this is a wonderfully constructed song.  There is an intelligence in the lyrics that is missing in much of pop music.  I can’t see Casey getting a big hit, but another might make it something big.

An OK song, but to me, Casey is like just another eccentric college guy strumming his guitar and singing. Nothing special. His grooming is horrendous.

Like him better than Lee or Kris, but that is not saying a whole lot.

I actually like this song. But the singing is bewilderingly bad.  Not every songwriter is a singer/songwriter.  Hey Casey, send your demos over to Edwin McCain.
