L.A. Live threw a Christmas tree lighting party tonight at the Nokia Plaza in Los Angeles.  Amongst those there to help celebrate and entertain onlookers were Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart, Pia Toscano,  Il Volo and Javier Colon from the Voice.

    Enjoyed Pia with Il Volo.  To me, they not only sound great but seem to have undeniable chemistry. This performance shows Pia’s sweet, affectionate side. The contrast between Il Volos’s classic rendition and Pia’s amazing diva sound was stunning. But then, I love big voices with complex tone and expression. I was indifferent to “The Christmas Song” before this performance. Not any more. It’s still in my head along the images of the night.

    “I like Il Volo singing with Pia.  She sounds great.  And I like one of those guys who sounds like Josh Groban.  Those guys are good vocalist and they needed a very good vocalist like Pia to keep up.  They are good together on that song

    Javier completely changed the melody of “Holy night” and I actually like his rendition – its melodic and emotional.

    I’m not into Casey and Haley’s jazzy rendition of that song, but I like their playful performance.  I prefer Casey’s part of the song and his voice – Haley just sounds like she was slurring her words and its just confusing and made it seem like weak vocals.

    Nice pictures off all of them.  They look like they enjoyed being there.  I like when the contestants get promoted and participate at events.  Poor Javier doesnt get as much promotion from the Voice, but its good he got to tag along with those from idol.

    I just watch Kelly and The Fray’s version of ”The Christmas Song,” and now Pia and Il Volo, both were very nice. Pia seems way more comfortable on stage when she’s with these boys, so that’s nice to see.

    Haley and Casey! I love them together, they play off each other really well. Haley looks stunning too, red suits her. Her voice is beautiful too. Casey’s a little less, but still enjoyable.

    I really love Haley and Casey’s “Baby It’s Cold Outside”. I bought the song and have been playing it a lot. I wasn’t that big of a fan of theirs on the show, but this song is great!

    I love Haley’s voice, but won’t buy the song with Casey on it.

    I sure wish she would separate herself from Casey.  When I see them together, it screams comedy act.  She is his Gracie and he is her George.  She doesn’t need him.

    I agree Casey is really looking pretty shlubby … he has a nice suit and is wearing a long sleeved t-Shirt underneath with some writing on it and black sneakers!  He looks like my 10 year old dressing for a weeding.  Meanwhile his partner is dressed to kill for the event.  The contrast between them get worse all the time.  He needs a personal stylist desprately ..
