Casey Abrams recorded an acoustic version of his song “Ghost” for charity.

The tune will appear on the 6th volume of Majic Miracle Music, a compilation CD of tunes recorded in Sweetwater’s studios by national recording artists. The collection will be sold to benefit Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.

The project is in conjunction with Majic 95.1.

Check out the performance below.

This is by far my favorite Casey Abrams song.  Love it!

Casey is so talented. His songwriting ability is just incredible. But seriously, I hope he finds an image consultant, if he wants to make it big in the music industry.

So Casey is going to be on the same CD as David Cook!  That’s cool. :D

Excellent! I very much enjoyed this song on Casey’s Album, love the Studio video too! It’s very cool he was asked to do this for Majic Miracle Music, it’s an excellent charity for the children of Indiana, with a lot of music at a reasonable price, (they even offer free shipping)  – and he’s in very good company.

The previous offering, Volume 5,  has many familiar names on it, among the 20 tracks:

    3. We Might Fall – Ryan Star (Atlantic Records)
    4. Fools Gold – Michael Johns (TRP/Downtown Music)
    10. That’s What I’m Here For – Jason Castro (Atlantic Records)
    15. Korbyn’s Song – Amanda Overmyer (Overmyer Productions)
    17. Heart On My Sleeve – Michael Johns (TRP/Downtown Music)

This new compilation, Volume 6, promises to be just as interesting, with Casey’s contribution of “Ghosts”, and David Cook’s “Fade Into Me” ( – recorded in November, 2011) – among the track listings I know of so far. Lots of people waiting for this one to be available.

    Thanks for the news, mj!

Casey’s album far exceeded my expectations.  I knew he would do a good job, didn’t think it would be this good :)

My favorite of the album is “Great Bright Morning” (used to be Blame it on me)
here’s GBM live with his band on The Morning Blend

I don’t think he is looking to be a mainstream artist, but I have to admit that when I first saw that picture, I thought to myself, “That child looks homeless.” Haha.

I really like this video and am happy for him that they invited him to be a part of this project.  Though Ghosts was not one of my favorites when I first heard it, it has grown on me and I now love it too.  All his music on the album is great without a single dud in the bunch.  Lovin’ me some Casey Abrams.

Great video of Casey singing Ghost. Casey’s album is just so good. I listen to it all the time. He is just so talented and really deserves to be successful in the music industry. I am waiting to see if he will be performing near me when he tours because I want to see him perform live.

Really like that–gonna have to listen to the rest of the album now!

As a whole, I find his album pleasant, but slight, and Ghosts is not one of the tracks that I excepted from that assessment.  I could really have used something more in the delivery in the bridge here; the phrasing just doesn’t seem to fit the lyrics.

That said, good on him for contributing to the album.  I hope it raises a lot of money when it comes out.

What a lovely song and good cause! Casey seems such a nice guy and being so talented I so hope he´ll have the success he deserves. Even though his hair is not my taste, I´m fine with it, if that´s what he likes.

Casey reminds me of ’70s artists like Paul Simon that just walk to the beat of their own drum and produce good music.  It may take a while for Casey to have a big “commercial” hit, but he is authentic.  Very rare so I wish him luck.

Love this, love Casey, and love his album. It’s so good in every way. Hair doesn’t bother me one bit.

My husband listened to the album and it’s now at the top of his favourites list. (BTW, he’d love to have Casey’s hair. Enjoy it while you have it! :))

Well done Casey! He really is reminiscent of Paul Simon.

I am not a youngin & I love Casey’s “Simple Life” album – I haven’t taken it out of my CD player in the car ~ It just plays over and over again!  And this acoustic version of his song “Ghost” is fabulous.  Thank you, Wild Child! You are the Best! *Do any of you remember what the Beatles looked like in the very beginning . . .
