Carrie Underwood shows off her engagement ring while watching her fiance, Mike Fisher, play hockey in Ottawa Monday night.

Nice ice, there Carrie! She’s going to be a gorgeous bride…

UPDATE: According to Fisher’s website, he asked Carrie’s dad for her hand in marriage. There’s no date set yet, but they plan to marry some time this summer.

Aw’ ¦ I love how girls with brand new engagement rings are all left handed.

    LMAO! Classic.

This picture of the guys admiring Carrie’s ring is pretty funny. I don’t know who everybody is but the guy in green on the right is Mike’s younger brother.

And this is just a pretty picture:

People’s on the job guesstimating the carats and price, but still needs someone to proofread.

Outside of Ottawa Senators fans, Mike Fisher isn’t particularly well-known even in Canada, if it weren’t for his connection to Carrie. Which I suspect doesn’t matter much to Mike and suits Carrie just fine.

They both seem to prefer to keep things low key (the engagement ring being one notable exception LOL). And this could be crazy talk but I’d speculate Carrie even likes that Mike’s job in Ottawa is a bigger deal there than what she does.

Yeah, that rock is easily 5 carats. And it definitely came with a six figure price tag.

Ya know the best place to go when you’re newly engaged and you have to do stuff with your left hand?? The drive-thru! You can watch your new sparkler glisten in the sun as they pass you your drink, and then your bag. Not saying that I had a steady diet of french fries the week I got engaged or anything. Just making a random observation :)

I’m sure many a woman will disagree with you, . I have been happy with my diamond for 24 years, even though it’s not as big as Carrie’s, lol.

Then maybe you should read this. You may know this, but it’s an important issue:

And, I agree with the original poster.
