I’m loving it. She pulls on all those country heartstrings very well. I truly can’t love this song because it’s so cliche, but I love that she knows what she’s going after and goes after it so brilliantly…never an apology for country. I guess the best thing about this song is that she doesn’t have to live through the “can’t dance” comments because dance would be so freaking out of place in this song.

Yeah, I’m a Carrie Underwood fan but so absolutely not a mainstream country fan…I guess it’s obvious from my comment. It’s awesome that she got to sit and talk with Conan and she did it well.

Carrie gives great deadpan. She is a very funny girl with a dry wit. I can see why she and Cookie get along so well.

LOL I kid. Temporary Home for the next single please! It’s looking more and more likely anyway. I loved that performance and I love that song. The sound was a little bit off for me but that’s OK.

Can I just say how much I love Carrie’s promo sked this week? Conan, then Ellen on Wednesday, Kimmel on Thursday, and the American Music Awards on Sunday. She has bigger TV appearances this week than on opening week! The promo roll-out for Play On is definitely much, much better than that for Carnival Ride.

Wow. This is a stunning performance. I love this song.

I hope she sings this on the AMAs this Sunday. She’s getting such fabulous promo. Another week of late night television. Wow.
