Carrie looks and sounds awesome doesn’t she? Tom Bergeron plugged her appearance on the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday.

    I actually enjoyed this performance of Good Girl by Carrie.  Much much better than the ACM performance, which I found to be a trainwreck.  I thought perhaps she wasn’t moving around much here as to not take the focus off the dancers so much.  This is a dancing show.  Carrie is very considerate like that.

    chearts77, I agree this performance of Good Girl was so much better than at the ACM. I was so worried for her and perplexed of Good Girl for a single. I was thinking why would they choose a song for her she couldn’t sing live. I mean CAN she sing this live is this just a bad day. After that performance a was furiously trying to recollect if i’d ever heard her sing that song well live and not one time came to mind. So I was just shaking my head as that song as a single b/c singles you’ve got to sing to promote and in concerts. Anyway after the dancing w/ the stars performance i’m now reassured that was great ACM’s were just a bad night.

    Carrie’s only public performances of the song prior to the ACM performance were the Sony boat show, the acoustic one at the pre-Oscar gala, and the Opry one, all of which she’d nailed. Since then she’s also nailed this song on Letterman, Good Morning America, IHeartRadio, Live On Letterman, the Opry again, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and now Dancing With The Stars. All of these except for the Opry performances and I guess IHeartRadio are archived online on this blog (Live On Letterman is available at VEVO).

    The ACMs were marred with sound issues all night and though I didn’t think that performance was a trainwreck either, I do agree it left a lot to be desired and am glad it was an aberration.

    Go to youTube and find Carries performances on Kimmel.  Best I have ever seen her, especially Can’t Leave Love Alone.  She was so loose, danced a good bit, looked and sounded great.

    I think the Idol that seems to get the most chatter here overall is Adam Lambert, even when the subject is someone else lol.  Carrie is just getting a lot now due to the new album.  MJ is very even handed in her posting re. the various idols and is very good about not letting anyone hijack a thread.

    I agree this was the best vocal of this song and she looked gorgeous!  She performed it better on the Kimmel show, but I agree the guests on DWTS don’t move around much when singing.
