What else is new when it comes to Carrie Underwood? There’s NO REAL competition in that genre, although I know of some folks who could give them a real run for their money, but the ‘CMA’S’ has yet to shatter that glass ceiling so it will stay this way for a while.

I know a lot of people on here are sick of her success and constantly being all over the media and magazines but I’m not… Woohoo lol..

Gratz to scotty on his big win too..

Now im going to need to see water tower town and blown away music videos from them respectivley..

Haha pretap.  You have to live with it that CU will win every award on the show. It is written all over her birth chart.  She has a very damned good chart and some lucky stars every singer could ask for.  She is indeed blessed but to a non fan, it’s getting boring.

Carrie had actually been in a dry season for awards for almost the whole of “Play On” era. She is not exactly winning everything, in fact, in recent few years, it’s more of Miranda winning everything.

I think some of you guys feel that she’s always winning is because this site mainly covers her wins LOL.

    pretap:

the ‘CMA’S’ has yet to shatter that glass ceiling so it will stay this way for a while.

Except for her Female Vocalist wins, CMA hasn’t exactly been THAT in love with Carrie. Sure, they love her as a host, but they have been snubbing her in the Entertainer category. Again, the love mainly went to Miranda and Taylor.

    Nice job Carrie.  :)

So happy to say congrats to both Carrie and Scotty. They deserve their award and I´m loving it (and them)

Mediocre song and Carrie did her best – which lately has not been much better than just okay.

Is there something wrong with her left leg  – always looks turned in.  Does that one leg in front of the other walk all the time.

Congratulations to Carrie and Scotty for winning!  It was good to see so many Idols here.  I hope we’ll be seeing some more successes! I was wondering if the leg thingie was because the heels are too high.

It’s not that I am not a fan of Carrie, but I still feel like they need to make room for others. The awards shows get so boring seeing the exact same people win everything every single year.  Lost interest last night.

I agree.  Thats what makes Scotty’s win all the more exciting.  I’m not even that big of fan of his, but its nice to see someone new doing well.

Kariann Hart: Congratulations to Carrie and Scotty for winning!  It was good to see so many Idols here.  I hope we’ll be seeing some more successes! I was wondering if the leg thingie was because the heels are too high.

Maybe, but at this point I think it may just be a performance quirk of Carrie’s because I feel like I’ve seen it before.

Congrats Carrie & Scotty, and may we see more Idols performing and winning at these things in the future!

I loved Carrie’s vocals for her Good Girl performance and thought the performance aspect got a lot better when she joined her band, but I prefer Carrie’s concert performances of GG in that she seems freer on stage. I really love how she’s mastered such a crazy difficult song to sing, with the tempo and all the modulation needed. GG’s definitely done its job as far as selling the album  and getting to #1 at country radio, plus it’s going to cross 1 million copies sold as a download this week too. And, the fact that it got such great reviews from the country and mainstream world is an added plus. We’ll see if it can get any higher than #20 on HAC but even if not, whatever it does on HAC is just gravy.

I’d say the performances at the show that stuck with me the most are Little Big Town’s Pontoon which was perfectly staged and they sounded great as usual and probably the Willie Nelson/Jamey Johnson/Darius Rucker/Zac Brown Band performance, just because.

But, the highlight of the night for me was probably Brad and Mike punking Carrie by sharing a long embrace after Carrie & Brad won the Collaborative Video CMT, totally leaving Carrie hanging as she waited for her husband to hug her. Hilarious!

Congrats to Scotty on his award and I loved his acceptance acknowleding his high school and thanking them!  And congrats to Carrie, she is on a roll right now.  I know we will be seeing lots of them as it is going to be a great week with CMA FanFest events.

Congrats to Underwood, although I still think the face mask in the GG video was weird.

    And to McCreery too.

Wow, Eric Church must be annoyed with all those Idols and Reality stars performing and scooping up all the awards.  At least he got to sing a full song.  Yay, Carrie, Miranda and Scotty for your wins and Lauren and Casey for your performances, and Skylar and Colton and Jordan for presenting.

I still don’t understand how “Good Girl” got these 2 nominations. Her single had just been out a few weeks when the nominations were announced. (and the video was released even a couple weeks after that) I guess if your name is Carrie Underwood you just automatically get nominated! LOL!!

On a lighter not Hollywire’s best dressed celebs featured an idol top 3! lol

    1. Carrie, 2. Casey and 3. Kellie

Carrie is the current Queen of Country music. Of course she is going to win, and thank god for her diehard fans. They are what makes Carrie the best in the business… She works her butt of to deliver fantastic vocals and they love her for it…. I thought she looked superb last night…. Go Ms. Underwood, this will be your year again …..

Awards shows of 2009 were basically Taylor Swift-dominated, while 2010 and 2011 were Miranda’s years. Carrie still got Entertainer of the Year at the ACM, and the ACM Triple Crown for having won the 3 major awards – Best New Artist, Female Vocalist, and Entertainer – at certain points of her career.  But the CMA and ACM vocalist awards were no longer solely dominated by her, although she remains a strong nominee. The CMTs, which is a fan-voted award show, showed all 3 women getting their share of the awards these past couple of years. So I’d say they did make room for at least 2 female county artists other than Carrie. lol
