Carrie Underwood helped the Grand Ole Opry go pink Friday night, as she flipped the switch to turn the Opry stage pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Country music fans can donate to the fight against cancer. When ordering tickets for Opry shows, mention the code “OPRY-PINK” and $5 of the ticket price will be donated to cancer charities.

After the jump, watch Carrie flip the switch, before she launches into a rendition of “Before He Cheats.”   She tells NECN, “We’re here to help those who have been diagnosed, and we’re here to raise awareness, and hopefully find a cure.”

There is no Video to watch……but kudos to Carrie for being involved in such a wonderful cause and help raise awareness on how important it is to find a cure.

ITA: video shows now. Not in-sync. But she looks great and her comfort level on stage is leaps and bounds improved from when she was on AI.

I remember hwc in another thread referring to Barbie, and indeed, Carrie looks like a barbie in her pink gown, blonde, wavy hair and pink props. I’ve always thought of Carrie as robotic, almost dull, but she’s a money-making machine. Great cause, BTW.

Robin Roberts was there too. It was a great night for a great cause!

Carrie sang Before He Cheats, Cowboy Casanova, and Jesus Take The Wheel at the 1st show, and Wasted, Cowboy Casanova, and I Told You So at the 2nd show.

    Here’s some fan video:

    Flipping Switch + BHC

    Cowboy Casanova – 1st show

A little late night banter + most of I Told You So

Apparently Robin Roberts had a little bit about the Opry going Pink to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer this morning on GMA.
