Carrie Underwood’s upcoming VH1 Unplugged special is set to air Tuesday, October 2 at 4 pm on the VH1.com website and then at 7 pm on the TV network. But, if you are too antsy to wait until then, here’s a sneak peek of Carrie performing Coldplay’s “Fix You.”

The singer explains that when she performed in the UK over the summer, she wanted to cover a song by a Brit. She came up with the idea for “Fix You” after she had seen Chris Martin and Coldplay in concert previously.

Carrie’s 5 song set will also include her mega-hits “Before He Cheats and “Good Girl” as well as “Blown Away” and “Do You Think About Me.”

“It was a unique way to play a few of the songs,” says the American Idol season 4 winner. “And I loved being able to mix things up and perform them in a different way.”
