Carrie Underwood – City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge

It turns out that Carrie Underwood is a pretty good softball player, as she landed one of the biggest plays of the game at Wednesday nightà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s 19th Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge with an RBI double for her Grand Ole Opry team.

Carrie’s team went on to defeat the competing After MidniteTeam 11-5.

The softball challenge, an annual charity event to help benefit City of Hope, a comprehensive cancer center, is one of the events that kicks off the big CMA Music Festival, beginning today in Nashville.

    ETA: Just a Dream, not In a Dream. IAD was the awesome song performed by the awesome Bo Bice, whom Carrie broke my heart by defeating.

    Watched the 2007 vid and looking at the picture above. Looks like she has put back on a few pounds….and she looks so much better. I really wish we saw more of this side of Carrie. I like being “prettied” for TV etc. but I don’t like it so much when she becomes a little too Barbie dolled. Oh well, to each their own.

    Soooo in love with this girl! I don’t know why she doesn’t sell 30 bazillion records every week?!?! Carrie’s albums are constantly on my playlist. I mean “Flat on the Floor” — I kill with that while on the treadmill!! lol. Thanks Carrie!!!!

    I’ve seen her live twice (unfortunately not headlining but at fairs and the CMA Fest last year still incredible tho). I wish I had the opportunity to see her shows more often. She is spectacular. Huge country fan here!!
