Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry attended the Creative Arts Agency Superbowl Party in Miami, Florida Last night.  They’re both in town to participate in the pre-Superbowl game festivites.

Daughtry will be performing at the Superbowl Tailgate Party, outside the Sun Life Stadium before kick-off today. You can catch his performance on CBS at 3:45 pm ET.

Carrie Underwood has the big gig–performing the National Anthem before the big game today between the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts. The game starts at around 6:35 pm. (but I’m setting my DVR a little before that just in case!)

Are you watching the Superbowl today? Who will you be rooting for?

ETA: Chris with hair! Hmmm…

A few more photos after the jump… (with Chris Rock and David Spade)

Update: Added a behind the scenes look at Carrie getting ready for the Superbowl

Daughtry with hair? heh…I wonder if he’ll shave it before the show?

  • Tess

I actually like Chris w/ hair (receding or not). It makes him look a bit more approachable to me and not quite so “angryish”.

  • JudyOhio

I’m liking Daughtry with hair (so far). That’s all, just weighing in on it :)

  • TwigLA

Tess, I agree with you on Chris looking more approachable with hair. It looks good on him too.

I’ll be watching the Super Bowl. I always do if just for the commercials. LOVE them! I’m rooting for the Saints this year. New Orleans can use a little love and it’s their first ever time being there.

  • SpenserJ

I’m rooting for the Saints this year. New Orleans can use a little love and it’s their first ever time being there.

I’m with ya on that one. Plus, I’m a bitter Jets fan, so there’s no way I’m rooting for the Colts :) . (Although I do wish to extend my gratitude to Peyton Manning for being a great Fantasy quarterback for me this year.)

Go Saints….I love it when doormats finally get their moment in the sun. It was fun for the Cardinals last year…and hopefully the outcome for the Saints will be better than for the Cards. But if the game can be as good as last year’s was…then it’s win win for everyone. I’m just looking forward to the commercials. I haven’t even glanced at the spoilers for this year.

Ha! I don’t know what to think about Daughtry with hair! I think he’ll shave for today’s performance though. It’s cool seeing he and Carrie hanging out together.

Here’s a video from Younghollywood.com where they spend a day (I actually think it’s 2 days) with Carrie.

    http://www.younghollywood.com/videos/sports/super-bowl/spend-a-day-with-carrie-underwood.html

They spend time with her in her hotel, and then in the car as she’s headed to rehearsals and the party from last night. Her dog Ace gets lots of screentime, he’s pretty cute. Carrie jokes about the amount of makeup she has among other things.

  • poporange

spencer mon ami,I have to disagree I am sort of leaning towards the Colts. You being the guru of sports pick I have a feeling The Saints will win..:)

  • TwigLA

Windmills, thank for the Carrie video. That was fun. Her dog is so cute. Cracked me up that she said she wakes up naturally beautiful. I hope people realize she was being tongue in cheek.

Gotta go with my Saints, as a long-time member of the “Who Dat!” Nation!

I wonder who David Cook is supporting? On the one hand, he has a lot of family ties to Indiana…on the other, Mizzou’s Chase Daniel is a Saint, and heck Drew Brees played for Purdue, IN Indiana.

Anoop has thrown his support behind the Saints, per Twitter: “I gotta w the Saints…for @raleighwood & @yoko71, plus they’re an NFC South team. Is there really an underdog in this one!? Who’s ur pick?”

You KNOW who Michael Sarver’s supporting! ;-)

Just saw the movie “Big Fan” last night. Worth the rent, btw. After that, I’ll be watching the clips here at MJ’s.

I like his hair–he looks younger. And he’s young, so that’s right. Don’t like her cardigan tho.

  • googletot

I don’t know what to think about Daughtry with hair! I think he’ll shave for today’s performance though.

Chris twitted that he was letting his hair grow, so I doubt he’ll shave it.

I prefer Chris with a shaved head.

Yes, I’ll be watching the game. I think the Colts will probably win but I will be rooting for the Saints and hoping my former Trojans Reggie Bush and Sedrick Ellis are “game changers”.

    Geaux Saints!

  • bean99

Wow. I never thought I’d like Chris with hair but he looks good.

  • JJ123

If I had to choose between bald or hair I’d definitely choose bald but whatever, it’s not my head lol. I’m hoping they show another song beside the current single Life After You, I mean I like that song and all but it’s not very Superbowlish haha. Also looking forward to Carrie’s NA! I’m a Purdue Alum from the Drew Brees days so GO SAINTS!!!!

This thread needs some COLTS love. :) I don’t care who’s the underdog, who’s the favorite, who’s more inspirational to their city, whatever. Peyton Manning is on his way to becoming the best pro quarterback of all time, and I want him to win another ring so I can just tell people to STFU when they start trying to refute that.

Besides that, the factor that many people are missing in this whole “debate” is the WAY underrated Colts defense. Sure, both teams are gonna put up points. But as good as Peyton Manning is, he’s not the ONLY person on that team that put them in the position to make all the 4th quarter comebacks that they did. The defense made some key plays and key stops in this run to the Super Bowl. That defense is going to be out to prove that Peyton Manning is important, but that this team is a complete team because of them.

I hope for a good game. And a Colts win, of course. ;)

And – yay for Carrie and Chris! :)

  • martha

They both look radiantly happy and are doing so well, it is great to see.

  • YankeeFan08

Chris looks so cute with hair!

  • HeidiL

I like the hair on Chris! Carrie looks beautiful as she always does.

As a Louisiana girl who lived in New Orleans for 20 years until August 29, 2005 it is completely surreal to see THE SAINTS in the Super Bowl!
    Stand up and get CRUNK!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=227878099299 Diane

Yes! I love the hair on Chris!!! I mean, if you can grow hair, why not?!

Enjoy the game, Heidi! I hope Kris gets to watch…wonder if it will be televised in Malaysia. ??

  • rayni

Chris is a good looking guy but he is SOOOO much hotter with that hair! I like receding hairlines anyway, but that is niiiice!

  • Rub

    …. I’m a bitter Jets fan

is there any other kind? :p
    j/k
it was there for the taking.
    Dolphins for life. lol

  • http://www.noahsarkworkshop.com/tammyluebrecht_s9189 tammyinohio

Chris is good looking either way but he’s definately yummy with the hair and even his beard looks really nice here. My hubby has a receding hairline so I’m a bit partial to it.

  • http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=iamthepurplewalrus&view=videos purplesmile

I saw the twitpic of the hair a while back and I thought, “Tsk tsk…I don’t know, Chris.” Seeing it again…I still don’t know. lol. I’m used to bald Chris.

  • tyrpen

I like the way Carrie is scruching down so we don’t know hes only 5’3. I suppose he thinks hair will make him less hard rocker and more acceptable to he country/pop crowd. Hes trying very hard to join the Carrie and Swift bunch. You know, the I’m not country but I’m trying real hard to pretend I am cause thats where the money is.
He fits right in with Swift.

  • KrazeeK120

I’m really excited to watch Carrie sing the national anthem…I’m sure she will be fabulous!!!

I prefer Chris with a shaved head.

And I’m rooting for the SAINTS. I love them for putting that idiot QB in Minnesota in his place two weeks ago.

  • JJ123

hmmm….I don’t think he’s trying to go country at all! All the guys in the band love all kinds of music and they just go with what feels right and on this album they happened to have a country song. I also don’t think it’s about money, it never was before….they take small gigs play club tours and all that stuff, to connect with fans. They just do what they do….I’m pretty sure he was never gunning for a “hard rocker” image in the first place. And for the record he’s 5’9″

Oh and more to my point….I thought they sounded great! Always proud to be a fan!!!

  • ptslittlecomment

    MUCH prefer Daughtry with hair.

  • Kate8

I didn’t realize that Daughtry was just receding. He looks good either way. I like bald men, my hubby is almost bald and my two college age sons are already receding one since he was 15.

  • yeahyeahsure

Nice picture! They both look good! Idols represent! I still prefer Chris without hair but he doesn’t look bad with hair at all. It’s going to take some time to get used to though.

  • MaryS-NJ

I think Chris Daughtry looks better with hair.

I look forward to hearing Carrie sing the NA.

As an aside, we’re having a Super Bowl party – mostly teenagers from my daughter’s bowling team. We’re “officially” not taking sides on who wins, but as fans of NFC teams (Giants and Eagles) and having a sentimental attachment to New Orleans (where I met my husband), I bought special napkins with a fleur de lis pattern. Shhh…

  • tinydance

Two very exciting Idol stars. Chris looks different with hair. Carrie is always a class act.

  • jessabean

i love carrie underwood and i know it’s just standard if 1) you’re female and 2) you have a stylist, but carrie looks like an orange, especially next to Chris.

why do they make them put that stuff on; it’s makes beautiful people look so odd.

and i agree with JJ123, I love that country-ish song on the new daughtry album. my first thought was “take that! rascal flatts!”
