Bucky Covington confirms some news we reported a few weeks back. He has officially signed a new label deal with eOne Music. He plans to release a new single and album in 2012.  Bucky’s upcoming single, “Wanna Be That Feeling,” is due to go for adds after Christmas.

He tells Brian Mansfield of Idol Chatter, that after releasing 3 singles, his old label, Lyric Street went under. He got the unreleased album back from Disney, but did not release it until he recorded new material to replace tracks he was not happy with.

“There was a handful of the album that I was not real happy with,” said Bucky, “I was not feeling comfortable putting ‘Bucky Covington’ on the album, because they weren’t necessarily my picks. They were good songs, no doubt about it, but I had other songs for me.”

Bucky went back into the studio with producers Mark Miller and Dale Oliver to record new songs. “I am absolutely thrilled with the album that is now coming out, head over heels,” he says “It’s Bucky Covington through and through.”

Congrats Bucky! I’m interested to see whether eOne can make an impact at country radio, a few indies seem to be having some success lately and Wanna Be That Feeling is a catchy little ditty that really suits Bucky.
