Brooke White’s Jack and White EP Coming August 30

Season 7 Idol alum, Brooke White, has partnered up with songwriter Jack Matranga in a project dubbed Jack and White.

The duo has been busy recording songs they wrote together (initially for Brooke’s solo record) and an EP of those tunes, called Gemini will come out on August 30, according to a press release (Via Idol Chatter)

“The songwriting process flowed so naturally,” Brooks says in a press release announcing the EP release. “There was a freedom to express creatively without fear. We weren’t over-thinking. It was completely instinctual. A collaboration like this is a rarity.”

Check out Jack and White performing “Gemini” in Provo Utah back in June.  You can also sample “Inside Outside” at the band’s official website.  I love the new tune’s modern, indie vibe. I’m really looking forward to this one.

    The tracklist made me laugh a little, because the first two songs fit with the twin themes, and some of the others kinda feel like pairs too.
