Seriously. I love how people love to focus on that one paragraph when she wrote practically an entire essay on how grateful she is of this experience.

I don’t think the people who are calling her blog entry “bitter” and “ungrateful” read the whole thing, just that snippet posted above. Because seriously? If you read the whole thing you’d know what I mean.

Perpetual means repeated. I can’t recall Brooke *repeatedly* whining about the fans.

She should be thankful for the opportunity she has been given.

Her own words:
“Such enthusiasm and excitement… we love it and thrive off of that energy when we are on stage… thank you so much!” and “This is quite the experience, fans can be so sweet, Please know that I am always SO grateful for the sincerity of fans, from a thoughtful letter, or just a simple compliment, It means a lot to me.”

I agree… Brooke didn’t present herself very well. In fact she blew it.

She came off as rude, a perpetual whiner, and bitter. She shouldn’t
cut fans down, it uncalled for. She should be thankful for the
opportunity she has been given. Brooke shows her true colors

David Cook and some of the crew started throwing around a football and he got close to our little fence (by this time, Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ve staked out the corner by the buildingà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’but there are only 20 people anywhere near the fence). He says that heà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ll be back out later and is very nice. He did get a (rude?) request to ask Archie to come out and said that David doesnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t listen to him. à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Why not?à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Because heà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s David Archuleta.à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ 

Brooke was not my favorite on the show, but my opinion of her went up after reading this.

Plus, ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s nice to read a contestantà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s blog that appears to be written by an actual grown-up LOL. Not to say that I donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t still love the guys and all of their grammatical errors

She was very nice after the Staples show. And her hair looks incredible in person.

It is rude to ask someone to fetch someone else,imho. Chris D.’s statement about Taylor Hicks was hilarious.

i think Brooke just wrote what she saw and thought of her whole day. she doesnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t even ask for people not to ask her to go get the davids or jason. she simply states she would be rich if she got a dollar everytime she was asked. she understands that fans get excited but sometimes it is OTT.

Exactly. I don’t know what people are whining about. She wasn’t really trying to get anything across, she was just detailing her day. And let’s not forget this is her personal blog… some people just love to be their own psychologists, they’re reading too much into it just coz these are American Idol contestants. I remember reading a post about Syesha’s blog saying all she talks about is herself, well duh, it’s her blog! If it was a fan that went to the concert that was commenting that the ruckus when she went to meet the idols was “ridiculous,” no one would even bat an eyelash.

In fact, when I did meet her, I asked for her autograph and told her I was a fan. Even though she kind of sternly yelled, “Okay, get em out! [meaning stuff for her to sign] I only have thirty minutes to get through this whole line and it’s not easy.”

It was kind of cute, but also very Brooke. Passive aggressive is the term that comes to mind.

It also comes across as a little bitter of her to write something like that about the fans in her blog.

Just my opinion.

I’m sure Brooke and all the top 10 contestants not named David or Jason suffer bouts of Chopped Liver Syndrome. It’s got to be hard on the ego. Not having enough privacy, sleep or time with loved ones doesn’t help, but hopefully being able to perform to appreciative crowds will make this experience positive overall and unforgettable.

I just wish she would learn the difference between their, and there. LOL.

i hope she tours in small venues soon, i would love to see a whole set of just her. and i would take my brother and sister because they also loved her at the AI concert.

As far as the fans asking an Idol to go get another: I know if I was in a position to get Idol autographs, I would want to get everyone’s. Is she saying that people are snubbing hers? If so, that’s rude. If they are getting hers, then asking, maybe not so much. They just want to get as many as they can.

I would love to see her in a really good small acoustic venue, a brick wall and beer place like Iotaà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s, just outside Washington, DC.

I have no idea where that is – but if she shows up – call me, and I’ll get on a plane
