Country singer, Jason Aldean, married his fiancee, American Idol alum, Brittany Kerr on Saturday, Mar. 21, the couple confirm to Us Weekly.
They nuptials took place in an evening ceremony in Mexico.
“This is the best day ever – I’ve got my girl here, my friends, my family – it’s the best day ever!” Jason, tells Us in a statement.
His new bride, Brittany, adds: “Today has been the best day of my life. I feel like the luckiest woman to have been able to marry my best friend.”
The couple celebrated with family and friends, including Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson and Aldean’s daughters, Keeley, 12, and Kendyl, 7, from his previous marriage.
Jason proposed to Brittany in September 2014 after two years of dating. “My man did it again,” Kerr wrote via Instagram at the time. “Today was amazing.”
Of course, what US never mentions is the mini scandal that preceded the engagement. Jason and Brittany first came to the public’s attention when they were caught smooching at a bar by a pap. At the time, Jason was still married to his first wife. They initially denied anything was going on between them. Brittany apologized. But then, after Jason and his wife officially split, they couple their relationship public.
Brittany, a former NBA cheerleader, made it to Hollywood on American Idol in 2012.
Well. Brittany and Jason seem to have gone some distance. Congratulations, and good luck to them.
