Not to beat a dead horse, but of course I have to give my opinion on Mattgate, too. I think he needs to be given a break on this. And I’m a total Adam fan, so I’m not being partial. Look at it from Matt’s perspective, he’s signing bunches of autos, there’s tons of noise, he’s probably tired, etc., etc. All he knows is some man is asking him to pick up a letter that is supposedly from a little girl and give it to Adam. And said letter is laying on the ground and maybe it just looks like a dirty piece of paper or trash. Matt has no background knowledge of anything that happened prior to this or why it’s even lying on the ground. He’s minding his own business, going down the line and being nice by providing a lot of John Hancock’s, which is not guaranteed in the ticket price. (Although, IMHO, celebrities should want to do because we buy their product, and ultimately, their nice house, clothes and trips!) Anyway, I’m thinking he was probably trying to be funny, if/since he’s known to be like that, when he said he wasn’t Adam’s messenger and to try to get out of the situation gracefully from some man who seems to want to get a note to Adam.

OK, nuff said on that. Can’t wait to see the show (read: Adam) on 8/30 in KC!!!

Most pleasant surprise of the night: Scott M. He actually sounded good at the piano, and though I had grown tired of his voice through the competition, he came out with something new and I enjoyed his songs. I was particularly surprised that he could take a Vanessa Carlton song that I don’t like and have me enjoying myself.

Thank you for being pleasantly surprised. I hope that more and more people will see who Scott MacIntyre really is and what he can really do. Being a Scott fan, I am not surprised at all about his performance at the tour because I know that he can do a Vanessa Carlton song (if you listen to his song “Easily Broken” as one of the songs in his new EP). It is not something new, it’s actually what his own songs sound like. I enjoyed him on AI. I enjoyed him even more on the AI Tour and so glad I personally met him. He will forever be my American Idol!

Dumbest lyrics: ‘I’ve got soul, but I’m not a soldier.’ 

:clap_tb: I’m right with you on this one! I mean, all due respect to Kris’ interest in the plight of child soldiers in Africa, but this lyric is stoopid! It has about as much meaning as “na na na na, na na na na.” And I love The Killers! And The Beatles!

I must admit I’m kind of surprised at your enthusiasm for Scott, tho. Too much ego and not enough talent for me. He and his family (The MacIntyre Family) have performed all over the country and it was their version of Rock My Soul that was so hysterical on RickeyTV.
