Last night in Nashville, instead of singing with a Brad Paisley projected on the big screen, the real deal strolled on stage to surprise Carrie Underwood with a live duet of of their country hit, “Remind Me”.

Check out the performance below. Even from far away, it’s evident that Carrie is really really surprised when Brad walks out on stage.

The singer is currently on a nationwide tour to promote her latest album, Blown Away.

Carrie tweeted last night, “@BradPaisley: @carrieunderwood howdy. Gotcha. :)” Yes you did! Thanks for being there to sing with me tonight! What a great surprise!”

I love those 2 together, Brad & Carrie seem to share similar sense of humor which makes for a great working relationship.

Lauren Alaina and David Cook were also at Carrie’s concert last night. http://abcnewsradioonline.com/music-news/2012/9/24/brad-paisley-surprises-carrie-underwood-onstage-in-nashville.html#ixzz27OGeK33U

Its not easy to surprise someone at their own concert so kudos to Brad and her tour manager for pulling it off.

Aww, that’s fun. I’m glad they work so well together and can “prank” each other a little.

I’ve been working on a vid compilation for the tour that I’ll hopefully post later on today but in the meantime, here’s the Tennessean’s recap of the show which mentions Carrie was wiping away tears when she saw Brad. The recap also mentions Vince Gill, Kix Brooks, and Phillip Sweet from Little Big Town were at the show (as well as Lauren), and songwriters Ashley Gorley, Hillary Lindsey, Luke Laird, Dave Berg, Kelley Lovelace, Chris Tompkins, Josh Kear, and Dan Couch were there. From tweets songwriter Cary Barlowe was also there, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley was also sitting with Mike. Here’s the last paragraph from the recap:

As she thanked the audience for coming out and wished them a safe trip home, Underwood – as she had been all night — was the picture of poise, confidence and charm. She might have landed in country music’s brightest spotlight seven years ago thanks to “American Idol,” but it’s consistent, flawless performances and knowing how to choose music that speaks to her fans that make her one of the genre’s most engaging stars.

The reviews from this tour have been incredible across the board. There has been no one to diss it. If you haven’t had a chance to see Carrie, do yourself a favor & get to the nearest venue & be Blown Away!

Their musical chemistry is amazing! Wish he would suprise her in Oct. at the concert I will be at. :)

I agree the reviews have been nothing but great for her. Of course we are talking the Queen of Country music.
