Congrats! All boys, too. I have three nephews, so good luck with that! LOL.

Wow, what a brave pair. There’s gonna be alot of testosterone in that house! I sorta like the Bo Bice Trio though, lol. Somehow the idea of three Bice boys makes me smile. I voted for Bo too.

Congrats to them! I’ve got 3 sons and wouldn’t have it any other way. Loved him then, love him now!

Congratulations Bo & Caroline. He’s such a sweet, talented guy and this is just another blessing for them.

I didn’t watch season 4 (I was still mad about J-Hud and George going home too soon in S3) but I caught a little of it on Idol Rewind over the weekend, and I really, really liked Bo. (It helps that what I saw included his a cappella performance of “In a Dream,” which I think is right at the top of the all-time approval ratings at WNTS. But he was still really awesome.)

I also enjoyed the theme song he sang for “Blades of Glory.” He (and his voice) seemed to suit Will Farrell’s aesthetic really well, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Bo gets to do more movie theme songs!

I think Bo is a perfect example of how Idol can work — no, due to a series of unforeseen events that were not at all his fault, he did not turn out to be a superstar. But he’s making a living in music and able to support his family and he seems pretty happy overall. So kudos to Bo, standing as an example of how you don’t need to win and you don’t need to end up a SupahStah to still be a success after Idol.

    Congrats Bo and family!

I agree smartcookie! Success is never, to me at least, having the most money. I’ve always thought that the person who dies happiest is the most successful. Looks like Bo is on his way.

Really. How happy does anybody think Kanye West is?

Or Michael Jackson. Or Elvis. Or Simon Cowell, for that matter. He seems like a deeply unhappy person, no matter how much loot he piles up.

Back on topic — good for Bo! My husband has never watched one minute of Idol, and it’s kind of too bad, because I think Bo is right in his wheelhouse. He loves Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Little Feat, that kind of thing. And the Ides of March (group responsible for “Vehicle”) sang at our prom!

Congrats, Bo & Caroline! Bo’s my original rocker love. I have two boys… and keep my nephew a lot… three boys is an adventure!

Well, that’s my definition of success. I’d say neither Kanye is nor Michael Jackson was successful. If you need a bottle or more and more pills to get through each day, no matter how much money and fame you have, what’s the freaking point? They are the moneyed miserable IMO. I find no success in that.

Agreed. This obsession with turning out of superstars is silly. Adding to the ranks of good, capable musicians on our radar is a real service.

Bo also was unique, I think, in that southern rock attitude and ability. Michael Sarver is sort of in the same bag, but Bo was much more charismatic. I also liked (from seeing it on Idol Rewind) how close he and Carrie became, how supportive they were of each other. That’s generally true with the top 2 or 3 on AI, but as Southerners from humble backgrounds they seemed to have a special bond.

In any case, rock on Bo & family!

He’s raising his own backup trio!

Seriously, congratulations! I’m so happy for Bo & his wife.

I could have sworn I saw this months ago…..

Anyway, congratulations Bo! I am by no means a rocker, but for some reason Bo and Constantine were my favorites in season 4. Go Bo!

Isn’t that the truth? To all the Idols who are doing what they love the most – singing – the rewards are there. Bo just seems like a nice all-around guy. May Caroline have a safe pregnancy and delivery. Great news; congratulations!
