Yes, I do totally agree that David and Kris aren’t in the same genre as I have both their music. The difference is very very clear when compared their second album. David refers Kris as ‘pop’ singer/songwriter in one of his recent interviews. Kris definitely has a lot more radio friendly songs on his album as compared to David’s but he doesn’t has much buzz.. Hopefully RCA will be willing to invest in Kris development as a new-artist and we’ll know soon or after his second album era is over.
Anyway, I love them both and they’re both my choice of winner during their AI run.

When TVOL premiered at the start of March, people here were claiming that it was going to be a smash radio hit. But in reality, the song has done worse than Cook’s TLG and Adam’s BTIKM did. It hasn’t hit the top 30 on HAC yet, and no Top40/POP radio station has added it to their play
list. If TVOL and his 2nd album flopped horribly, there is no reason for his record label to continue to invest in him.

Hoping that it becomes a hit, and saying that it will be are two different things.  But more importantly, nobody here, note the fans or people who aren’t fans, are the the ones who will decide whether or not Kris keeps his contract.  Just as you say that people said that TVOL would be a smash, there are others who said that Kris would never get a second album.

You did say that Kris has more radio friendly songs on his album then Cook. So If Kris’s song is radio friendly then why hasn’t it done better than Cook’s TLG?

Maybe you’ve not been checking the daily updates Pam posts here every day, but Haley, Kris, and Adam’s singles are all just starting out on the charts.  Hopefully none of them are near their peaks so I don’t see how useful it is to compare a song rising up the charts to one that peaked a year ago.   Comparing eventual peaks makes sense, but I don’t know how you can make sense of comparing singles in different stages of their radio cycles.

I love Kris’ single and the last 4 songs on his standard album.  That song Rooftops is soooooooooo different and catchy.   I notice a lot of people liking it as well.  I will say his album is nothing like I thought it would be.  I love the last song, the ballad, as well.  I also love Haley’s free.  Gotta feeling IM gonna be buying two albums.  Right now Amazon has a 2 dollar mp3 reward for naming your favorite song, of any artist, and allowing Amazon to post it on your Face Book page.  The $2 is good until 5/24 so I will be using it towards one of the albums.

Amazon has Kris new album cheaper to purchase then download, which doesnt make sense to me especially since they have to ship physical cds as well.  Plus you get $1.00 mp3 credit.  Go to cnet.com/cheapskate and click the link to get additional 2.00 mp3 credit for naming your fav song by any artist and allowing Amazon to post it on Face Book.  Haley’s album is less then 9.00 plus the 1.00 mp3 credit.

whatever he sells it is not going to negate the fact that he made a kick ass album.

i agree that numbers don’t say anything about the quality of the album  Adam has just dropped an amazing pop album, imo, but if radio doesn’t play it, then it won’t sell.

having said that, what you are saying is not a fact, its an opinion.  an opinion from an idol fan to boot.  what sales wont change is your opinion.
