    I’m confused as to why people are saying the tickets to the Wilkes-Barre show for Adam are sold out.  I just talked to the Kirby Center and they told me there are plenty available.  I’m trying to get a friend to go with me so I didn’t buy them yet.

    WKRZ is the radio station sponsoring it.  There are 3 other performers, and one is The Cab.

    I don’t really understand this Wilkes-Barre radio concert argument, I thought just the pre sale was this morning? Roger Kramjet, you should prolly verify info before you bring it over as fact. It’s possible the radio station was just bragging on air about the pre sale selling out, I dunno.

    I know there was someone on my feed disappointed that they didn’t get tickets, they had good seats but then Ticketmaster froze up and when they got back in they were gone. But they were just gonna try again when tickets went on general sale, which hasn’t happened yet. And they are for sale, not free.

    It is a radio concert, with Adam as the headliner, but with 3 other artists so far I think — so sure there could be other artists fans trying to buy tickets.

    I think Annieba said “likely be that people who want to see Adam”, not necessarily Adam fans. Could be casual fans, people who was there on Adam’s first GNT 2 years ago.

    And this is a KRZ 98.5′S Summer Smash concert, but they promoting it as the Adam Lambert Show.. LOL.

    Today’s the presale for members of the radio I guess and Adam fans. So I guess they’ve sold out all the pre-sale tickets. That’s including all the $150.00 VIP ticket price that were also sold out. Who knows if some of these tickets were snached by brokers who have the password to the presale. Either way doesn’t matter for the organizer, from their POV these tickets are sold. It’s not good for fans though.

    Yes, Adam is the headliner and the radio tweeted that his set’s going to be 45 minutes.. so almost like GNT :)

    The venue (F. M. Kirby Center) calls Neon Hitch and The Cab guests, but they mainly talk about Adam.  They point out that he started his Glam Nation Tour there on Jun 4, 2010, and performed to a sold-out crowd.  They end by saying, “Don’t miss his long-awaited, triumphant return.”  :)

    So what happens when the performer (via a broker) doesn’t sell the tickets that he has bought up? He gets stuck with all those tickets? Then he ends up in the hole with lots of empty seats.

    The Adam Lambert pre-sale tickets are NOT sold out.  I have no idea where that rumor started.

    I called WKRZ – they said they are not sold out, but I tried it just to check to be sure before I beg my friend to go with me.  WKRZ said you text the word ADAM to 72881, and you will receive a special code.  Mine was “EYES” – I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone.  Then you go to ticketmaster, type in your special code and buy tickets.  That simple.  I tried it and there are definitely tickets available, but I didn’t buy yet until I talk my friend into going. 

    Without the special code from WKRZ you have to wait to buy until Monday, the 23rd.

    TVOL has been spun twice on WTMX (Chicago) tonight for its UMix it block. That gives the song 8 spins on WTMX this week. So auto add come Monday! :) (of course that’s no guarantee WTMX will spin it outside of the UMix block)

    I don’t know anything about the presale rumor, but at one point this morning TM was only offering tickets at the back of the balcony. Then a few started popping up on the floor and front of the balcony, probably as people timed out on their orders, but those are gone again.

    I really hate these presales; you never know how many tickets are released and they’re probably scattered all over the venue. I ended up getting front row of the balcony which is fine, but I might try again on Monday b/c I’d like to get mezzanine.

    Thanks for letting us know the capacity. I’m glad it’s a relatively smallish theater, even the balcony should feel pretty close.

    I know what you mean about the early sales.  I made a huge mistake last year buying tickets to the Idols live tour right away and got bad seats – I thought they were selling out so I snatched them up because it said that was all that was available.  But later lots of really good seats opened up and I couldn’t get rid of mine.  I was so mad at myself.  Someone told me once before that they sell bad seats first sometimes because it’s easier to sell out the good seats later than the bad seats.  But I’m always afraid if I wait I won’t get any.

    The thing that stinks about the Kirby Center too is it’s a performing arts center, and their members get the first crack at all tickets that go on sale.  So it’s really hard to get good seats at a place like that. You can become a member but it costs something like $50 per person, so unless you are going to go there all the time it’s not worth it.

    a lot of times if a broker is having trouble selling the tickets, they will cut the prices so if someone wants to go but doesn’t want to pay full price they can try waiting until the day of the show and see if they can get a cheap ticket. doesn’t always work out, of course

    Oh yeah I forgot about the darn paid membership reserved seats. So I guess I never had a chance for really good seats anyway. I did sort of panic buy this morning (pretty sure this is the only chance I’ll have to see Adam live this year as I doubt he starts any tour until late Fall at the earliest), but the ones I have are the least expensive so if I get crazy and upgrade on Monday I’m not risking a huge amount if I can’t resell.

    Good luck getting any spins outside of U-Mix-It. This game serves a specific purpose for this station.

    Seriously, TVOL is going to have to go top 15 before they spin it on their own.

    I don’t know any Kris fans who are worried about TVOL. I’m excited about it! Soooooo many newbies were tweeting about TVOL after idol Thursday night, so don’t get too excited. :) RCA doesn’t plan to drop Kris.
