There is no “If” to it. A song in the 90s on itunes is not selling anywhere close to 30K a day in downloads.

Well….it might be if today was Dec 25th. Today is not Dec 25th.

Mayer was supposed to perform at Jazz Fest, here in New Orleans this year.  They have replaced him with Cee Lo Green.

There’s no denying, Scotty’s voice is beautiful . Been listening to PRM on utube and if the song doesn’t grab you right away, at least for me, give it time, it will. I think, at first, I was trying to evaluate it too much as an elimination song. When, I was through with that, and just listened, I found, like others songs of Scottys’ there’s something soothing to the soul, in listening to Scotty sing this song.

I thought the Idol push would have ended by now but I suppose Youtube vids help keep it going. This is my favorite vocal performance by Scotty, by the way. I hate to say that since it’s not on his album, but it’s such a terrific song and the melody hits him right in his sweet spot.

I’m very new to all of this so I have a question for the experts. Is it possible that Scotty’s version of Please Remember Me will be released to radio?

I think the impact of primetime TV performances typically peaks around 24 hours after the performance because of the Itunes rolling window (which is probably around 24-36 hours lately).

ITA about your Scotty Please Remember Me comment. I was thinking that it was definitely my favorite ballad studio vocal from him, though I also really dig his vocal on more midtempo Write My Number On Your Hand. Goes to show what having some time to record (and some growth as a singer) will do for you.

It’ll be made available for airplay and I expect it’ll get some spins here and there, especially by Scotty’s hometown station. But, Mercury Nashville’s highly unlikely to promote it as a single because they want album sales and PRM is not on Scotty’s album.

I lovvee Scotty’s “Please remember me”. Been listenning to it over and over in the last 2 days. Can’t wait for the 2nd album from him. Based on how much he has grown, and with more time to record, I know it’s gonna fantastic!
